You on the first inning score bus yet?

Tigers was big, Rangers will be bigger.

Nope, not on the short bus. It's doing good and I wish everyone all the success they can possibly squeeze out of it. Can't quite wrap my head around it yet, if its just been very fortunate or if there's actually some merit to it.. Either way, at the point it's at, even if it craps out for the next 5 days you'll still be up money. I would like to look into it more when I have some extra time, which has been rare these days.

I have my season plan and very happy with how things are going here. Staying true to my long-term goals are very important to me.

What's with the new avatar? Scary as hell.. LoL

Guys I haven't been playing many side games lately, but I really love the Angels tonight.

Jered Weaver is all ready a stud pitcher, and now he's very disappointed he wasn't named to the All-Star Team. A complete snub for a guy with 8 Wins, a sub -3 ERA and leads the League in strikeouts.

His teammates are annoyed, as well, about him not getting the recognition they know he deserves.

I'm betting tonight that Weaver "proves a point" and his teammates help back that point up for him.

    Gimme the ANGELS at -106

    Cheers

Just wanted to give Lawrence a little facetime! Love the movie office space, and one of his quotes came up the other day. Probably will change it again soon, but its brought me lots of luck. Haven't lost a wager since! I'll take it!

Well Texas sure exploded after that fan fell from the upper deck an almost died.. they are a passionate team who play with a lot of emotion. Seems like a great bunch of guys with good clubhouse atmosphere.

Scary moment there, but the guy seems to be stabilized at the hospital now. Wish him the best.

Colorado doesn't look too good, very disappointed with Jeff Francis, once again.. we tried for an extra Unit there tonight but will be scaling back to just win our loss tonight plus the standard 1 Unit for tomorrow's game - provided they continue to get their ass kicked tonight..

Miggy got us a 2-run home run to tie it in the 9th.. is it too much to ask for another 2-run homer to end it..?

    Hi there,

I would recommend reading the thread to start. I know I personally would not invest in something which I didn't read all the way through, first.

By reading the thread, you'll then know you can click on any of the Red System Titles in my posts and you'll be taken to the corresponding spreadsheet. My spreadsheets are well laid out and easy to follow. Read all the Tabs at the top of the spreadsheet to find the Unit Progression (overall, month-by-month, & week-by-week), the System Rules, Record, & Filters, and then the Monthly Play-by-Play daily breakdown.

If you have any questions after that, I'll be happy to answer the best I can. I run a Modified Martingale Money Management System, but the spreadsheet also tracks how the Labourchere style is doing. Don't ask me what Labourchere is.. I won't answer that.

    Cheers

PS. Oh, the links to the spreadsheets at the beginning of the thread will have the Tabs at the bottom if you click on one of them, cuz Google was a pain back then.. I would just go back to my last post today with the plays and click on those Red Titles.

Or, can't believe I'm in a good enough mood to do this.. just click on these to open them, then read the thread..

Colorado still sucks tonight.. and not liking the match-ups in Game 2 or 3, but we'll scale back and see how it goes.

I guess Jered Weaver doesn't deserve to be an All-Star after all.. Peavy goes down early with an injury and the offense can't even get him some runs. Ruining my happy night. Fuckin side plays.

I'm out for the night, will caps the Runline games tomorrow.

Down with the Orioles! I faded them against the RL because I figured it would be a play of yours but I guess not. I still like the general idea of just fading Baltimore hard and chasing any losses... no way these guys reel off 5 or 6 wins in a row.

Never say never. How many in a row did Washington win last year in the middle of the season?

    I looked it up.

Washington won 8 straight in August, including sweeps of Florida and Arizona.

Then in Sept/Oct they won 7 straight, including sweeps of the Mets and a 4 game sweep of Atlanta on the road.

They also had 2, 4 game win streaks earlier before August.

Not saying to not do the fade, just wanted to point out some numbers for thought.

Holy crap what a good morning wake-up present! Almost as good as a you-know-what!!      How the hell did Colorado do that?!

Well that certainly makes today pretty easy as we'll just have the Blitz play. Maybe a Tigers play, haven't finished breaking down the game.

Don't look now, but we just passed the +80 Unit mark for the Season, if you've been playing this how I say.

    As CJ Wilson says..  #dowork

    And as I say.. #discipline

    Cheers!

Nice win DJ! As I mentioned on the spreadsheet, I didn't make them a play on the Fading Baltimore System cuz they were all ready a play on the Blitz.

The Series Chase was all ready cleared so there was no play there, and the moneyline was too high for a straight play.

I was just happy to clear the Blitz last night!

    Cheers!

Thanks nole, I was aware of this.

If you remember my Fading Washington Nationals spreadsheet from last year, it shows I predicted about a 7 game win streak for them sometime after the All-Star Break.
It's always possible for Baltimore to do the same. They have one tough schedule tho, especially come September. I also don't feel this Orioles team is as good as Washington was last year. The Nationals struggled, but they had a pretty good offense after the trade for Morgan. Speed and Average at the top with Morgan and Guzman. Power in the middle with Zimmerman, Dunn, and Willingham.

With Brian Roberts not expected back until at least late August, and I feel he may even be out for the season (no need for him to come back unless 100% healthy) I don't see much hope for this offense to "find a groove". The pitching.. well the pitching.. is just terrible, as well, with no help in the bullpen. At least Washington had a staff Ace with John Lannan last season. I thought Brian Matusz might be that guy this year, but he's had a rough go.

I've mentioned I've not going to go crazy fading the Orioles, but I think we should be able to add another +30-40 Units from them the rest of the way. You'll notice I haven't played a single Individual Game yet, so obviously I'm being very careful where I pick my spots.

I haven't mentioned this anywhere, but how I am playing the Series Chase is by breaking it into 3 possible plays. Either 3-star, 2-star, or 1-star. I won't be going any higher than these values this season.

    Cheers to more winning!

    Thanks neilsy, really appreciate it.

Looking forward to this Fall when football comes around and hopefully collaborating together. Some interesting ideas you're all ready floating around.

I'm keeping an eye on that CFL thread, as well. Pretty damn unpredictable League, so hoping you have success there.

    Thanks eyeball

I tinkered with some things last season and am continuing to work out things I think can work.

I will only be posting something if I 100% believe it will be successful. That means I will all ready have established Filters, if needed.

I know how many lurkers blindly follow things on here, and I don't want to post something which someone may throw some money at, just because of my MLB success.

I had an unsuccessful NHL Playoff run this season, but Playoffs have always been a huge success for me (some may remember my MLB Playoff thread last season) and I felt bad that people may have lost some money on that. So I'm working extra hard on MLB to get that back, and then some.

I know I don't have anything to prove here, but this is important to me, for my own reasons. I feel by posting on here, it keeps me accountable for my records and able to maintain discipline.

So all I can say for now is, stay tuned.. we'll do what we can.

    Cheers

Well, damn.. quite the comeback for Detroit and Colorado last night. Not usually on the right side of games like that, so it was very rewarding to see those results last night. Was great to squeeze those extra Units from the Colorado game, cuz I would have been scaling back the Units tonight and tomorrow, as St. Louis has the big edge.

One weekend to go before the All-Star Break, and we'll be cautious as some teams really fall asleep the week before the break. That being said, we're recovered +9.75 Units of the -10.56 San Francisco Series Loss from a couple weeks ago. This is in addition to the regular Unit amounts we have won from each series. We won't hit +100 Units by the break, but +90 is within reach. If you've been playing this like me, you're probably very excited with this.

    There's a lot of ball left, so let's #dowork

    Cheers

Yep. It's a bonus if it comes tonight, but either way it just means we will have more Units tied up tomorrow, before it hits. Thankfully we have plenty of extra Units in our bank now and can afford to be aggressive here!

We LOVE our 4-game series. The majority of the time these should be played for max value.

    Good Luck this weekend nole

It's going to be a fairly light weekend as we enter the All-Star Break. And that's fine with us. It's been a tremendous 1st Half so far, and we'll look to wrap it up by grabbing another bunch of Units from Texas here. We should finish up at about +94 Units come Sunday night.
For those who haven't read the beginning of the thread, first, shame on you.. second, you'll find we are right where we want to be for our Season Goal of +160 Units. It looked like a distant number back in May, right, but the hard work is paying off. It's just around the corner..

Enjoy the heat wave wherever you're at, I know I am! Over 40 degrees Celsius (that's about 120 for my behind-the-times American friends LoL) out here in little old Nova Scotia. My igloo is pretty much melted and my polar bear just died of heat exhaustion.. sad day

    Cheers!!

My igloo is pretty much melted and my polar bear just died of heat exhaustion.. sad day

    Cheers!!
