The labby isnt that hard to understand once you figured out the dynamics of the system...but its really worth the time, it pays off pretty quickly...

Does anyone know why there isnt an OAK line yet?

I'm assuming it's because Oakland has called up Mazzaro from the minors to make an emergency start.  I may not be correct.

Thanks for the days off  I have been thinking about WAS and HOU for quite some time, tried HOU again but they screwed me again...wont touch them at least for the next 4 weeks...with WAS its a different picture, they have suprised me alot this season...maybe I should give them a try...what do you guys think? I mean, using the labby now its definately not that risky anymore...hmm Opinions are welcome

ok gonna try the labby line, played all including Philly.  Philly lost.  the three line labby is 5-5-5-5.  Yesterday it was roughlt even to win 10.  so it lost so the lines now look like this

b.5-5-5-5-5

c.5-5-5-5

i fear that i am playing too many teams which will not allow the lines to clear.

Call, I dont pick and choose anyone while using the labby.  Fact is, HOU and WAS will win at the very least one third of their games and most likely more.  If you wait 4 weeks on HOU they may notch some nice dog wins and then you jump back on board and they may lose again.  With the labby you may as well play em out.  You know any messes will be cleaned up in time.  Just my opinion.  Good luck!

I know you guys are probably tired of ?'s on this labby system, but i think i have it figured out...  Is there a point when you stop betting if you are losing every bet say you start out with 5-5-5, lose then it goes to 5-5-5-17, and then 5-5-5-17-22, and then 5-5-5-17-22-27, I dont see the great advantage of using this method right now, but i am sure it will come to me.. So a 3 game baseball series really does not matter if you get swept 5-5-5-17-22-27 you just move on to the next series???  Why does eagle use 4 numbers 5-5-5-5 to start out with instead of 3, 5-5-5.

I totally agree with you when it comes to WAS, they really seem to have turned things around...what I was thinking about lately is that I will just scratch the 3 worst teams in terms of win% from tier 3 and leave them out for plays...this way I wont have to look which teams I dont feel comfortable with but have another rule for that...the more rules and the less subjective picking the better for a system....I will look into this again and come back with a decision later today...

I think today could get a critical day, two match-ups have a really unfavorable pitching matchup since FLA is facing Zito and SEA is facing Garza...lets hope for the best, would be nice if we could keep the winnings above the 60% mark...

Hey folks, I looked into history as much as I could during the shot period of time and decided to add another rule to make the fade-part of the system easier:

 

Starting with the series on friday this week, I wont play the series of the worst 3 teams in terms of winning %, only exception is when these teams are hosting a team from tier 3 as well. with todays standings, these teams would be CLE, HOU and BAL. The big advantage is that although these teams will win at least 30% of their games during the course of a season, its pretty obvious that they will get swept more often and they mostly win games against other weak teams...therefore I officially make this adjustment.

 

If I find the time, I will write down all the current rules of the system so that everyone has them in here and it should be clear what to do in which situation.

The Golden Rules of Call82´s Home Chase System

 

1)       Divide all of the MLB teams in three tiers, based on their winning %. Each tier has 10 teams in it, at the beginning of the season you should take the final standings of the last season, during the season you refresh your standings before the beginning of a new series.

2)       The goal of the system is to play each home team until they won one game of their home series, then the chase stops.

3)       With respect to the tiers, you should start the chase depending on the teams tier: Home teams from tier 1 will start with the first game of a series, no matter who the are hosting; tier 2 teams should start with game 1 of a series no matter who they are visiting, as long as it is not a team from tier 1 (then we wait for the outcome of game 1 è they win, we skip the series, they lose, we start the chase with game 2); tier 3 teams are no plays in the first game unless they host a team from tier 3.

4)       The worst 3 teams of the league (%wise) wont be plays at all (for all games of a series), unless the visiting team is from tier 3 too.

5)       We don’t play any 2 game series, no exception here.

6)       Sometimes there will be a situation where teams in tier 1 and 2 (or 2 and 3) will have a similar record at the beginning of a series; one can argue they could be in both tiers (which is true), that’s why these situations will be a no play and we wait for the outcome of the first game (see point 3)

7)       With respect to money management I use a 3 Line Labby System, for details read literature.

8)       Once I have cleared the labby lines twice with the given Unitsize, I will increase the line for a given amount. I will post all season long with the starting units, so the size of the units bet will increase (hopefully) during a season.

9)       If there is rain (and the game gets cancelled) I will stop the series, since I am from Germany I don’t have the chance to play double-headers and therefore I won´t chase these series on the next day.

10)   Lets have some fun and make a lot of $$$

Hey Call, I've been making the picks before checking yours and have been accurate until today.  You have Cincy as a pick today (5/5/10) against the Mets.  And with Cincy a two and the Mets a one, I know that we skip the first game.  But since Cincy won the first game, I thought the series was over even though we didn't bet it.  Am I missing something here?  Thanks.....damn Houston!!
