I think this formula will get you what you are looking for...
=LEFT(B1,FIND("-",B1)-1)

another Question, im havin trouble organizing the games per date beacuse some configuration date issue some are 2010, other are just 10, and they dont organize correctly

I tried NBA spreadsheet but it seemed that the latest results I could get is 2012-2013 season. The spreadsheet is locked so that I couldn't manually input the number of season. Is there any way to get the new results?

Mikey,
Yes Degen and others made some awesome stuff to use in this thread. If you want the 2013-2014 season to download you can unhide column "O". to do this highlight on the letters N & P, right click, choose unhide. you should see column O open up and will have the years present. Just overwrite the 2012-2013 year with 2013-2014. in the drop down in cell C7 you will se the year. if you want the other years prior to 2013-2014 just continue overwriting the years down that column. Hope that works for you.

I found a handy little macro that I wish I knew about years ago.
Put this in "This Workbook" to work. You will see it on the left column of "Project - VBA Project"
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'Runs a macro at 2:50 AM
Application.OnTime TimeValue("02:50:00"), "CoversData"
End Sub
This lil macro will run another macro at the specified time. In this case, it will run my macro "CoversData" at 2:50 am.
It's real handy as pulling from Covers takes an amount of time I don't have in the morning before work.
Plug it in, Save. Close the excel file and bring it back up.
I'm going to make a macro that will pull all the info I use for my sheet. I will use Task Scheduler to open the sheet at 245a, and then the macro will start at 250a.

I hope qualifying games are correct as i just went through the schedule and identified series for both, their could be errors in qualifying series for that reason. I also use win % filters for the MC's much similar to what Beefman proposed. These can be altered to your liking. Please utilize a thread if one starts or bD's "bDDungeon" page if you want to follow all the qualifying plays in case he made any changes to his system.

Thanx for the sheets, JJ23.
I made my macro, which is made up of all the "Call..." macros. I did a test run a few minutes ago...changing the time to 14:25:00, saved, closed and reopened the spreadsheet. I left the room, and came back...and it's running. HUGE time saver! I pull data from a lot of sites and mine usually takes an hour to update.
