SUPEREAGLE, hello, i have just now read this thread, very interesting. I too myself run a similar system, one thing that i do different though isthat i use the grand martingale for my entries meanining its a 1-3-7-15-31-63-127 unit chase.  If u lose u recoup and go up a extra unit on that next win.  Tell me what u think.

Show me an example of your money management using my full bankroll of $1583.03.  Sorry to get you to do that, but it helps me to be able to see exactly how it would operate.  Also, how many times have you lost 7 in a row?

Ok, an example would be in your case for 1595.23, first divide that entire bankroll by 247, and thats your unit price which is 6.45.  Your dividing by 247 bc for 7 entries to progressively chase u need 247 units following the progression of 1 unit first play 3 unit second play 7 unit third and so on so forth following 1-2-7-15-31-63-127,  So how it works is instead of just winning profiting 1 unit for every win u get in traditional martingale, u increase your win unit per entry level.  So, 2nd entry game u would profit 2 unit, 3 entry game u would profit 3unit. Just go ahead and backtest this method and see the profit difference, you may like you may not like.

ok milkman yeah for 500 u would divide that by 247 so your unit price would be 2.02, but with every win i recapitalize the new balance and then i do a system recapitalization after 50 wins meaning i payout usually 50 percent of profits and then put the other 50 percent back into the chase.

with regular martingale u only make one unit per win, with the grand martingale u make more per level that u enter.  Ex, 1 game lose ur down 1 unit now u bet 3 units the 2nd game so u get back the 1 unit lose from game 1 and plus 2units for the win in the 2nd entry its  a 1-3-7-15-31-63-127 progression.

Milkman, it is deceiving.  Read pages 1 and 2 and you will see what happened to give it such a huge boost.  The rules and money management were different at the beginning.

Yes... I believe he recapitalizes with every bet. And your method is too static... You can't just divide every bankroll by 247 and expect for it to be optimal.

The best way to do it is just to divide your bankroll 7 times... I'll take $2345 as an example:

    $1172.5
    $586.25
    $293.13
    $146.55
    $73.3
    $36.65
    $18.33

This way, you used $2326.71 in total so you maximized your bankroll... while still insuring that you win a unit with a win.

This isn't exactly optimum values but it's close enough and very simple.

dj ..your forgetting juice .. just by dividing by 7..say if you hit your 6th bet at $586,,, by then you have paid  $1.80 + $3.60 + $7.30 + $14.60 + $29.30   = $56.60 in juice...so not only have you not made back your initial unit of $18..you have lost $38 ..I think there is something to be said for jpanoma's "grand" martingale.. although it is almost impossible to calculate if the extra units you make at each level  end up compensating for having to use a smaller unit size than the normal martingale..i guess someone could backtest it on Eagles chase so far..

I do like jp's method.  It may prove to be more profitable.  If you backtested you would have to start over totally with jp's AND with the divide by 7 method to get an accurate total.  I just dont have time to do it.  I knew I was due a win streak so I havent changed to jp's method yet, but will do so soon.  I want to try it.  I dont mind changing up because the main goal here is not losing 7 in a row.  So I am open to trying different things until I find a comfortable version.  I also like the $10 a unit method because if I ever get to a game 7 the payoff is a huge boost to the bankroll.  Since it is all or nothing anyway, that may be best.  Actually that is how I made 50% of the current profit margin.  I made it to a game 6 when it was still a 6 game and had a huge chunk of bankroll left and put all on 1 game.  All that being said, I plan on trying out jp's system soon.

Level 1 play on Detroit Tigers
    $12.78 to win $11.21

If this one hits I will start using jp's method of Martingale.

?? how can you have a seperate roll for the juice ? ..did a little reading on the grand martingale..to me seems more suited to non juice type bets..(i.e blackjack ..roulette) .. i think the traditional martingale that you  are now using is the best bet.. just keep on pickin the winners..
