Kreature, if you remember, this started out as a contest to see if I could catch ACE-ACE.  It was not about the money, although I did set aside $1000 of my entire bankroll to play on this for motivational reasons.  That was a $1000 that I was willing to let ride until I lost it all.  My mindset has evolved as this has gone on.  Now that I see the profit potential the money is starting to matter alot more.  Also, I see how many views this thread has received.  Now I dont know how many people actually follow this and play it(I wish I knew), but I am beginning to feel more of a sense of responsibility and dont want to lead people off a cliff, nor do I want to suffer a wipeout and start over from scratch.  So I picked the $3000 mark as the time to start treating this like a business instead of a "play till its gone".  Otherwise, you are absolutely right about money management.  Its just not what this has been about until now.

I found this thread a few days ago and it was one of the 2 reasons that I have finally signed up instead of lurking around like I have for the last 3 years.  Hope to start playing with you soon, have to get that matchbook account set up.

Sorry I missed your question, but Yes I was still watching and playing, I missed the Level 6 play, and then jumped right back in on the Level 7 play.  I primarily wager on system plays, and fit your picks into trying to clear my labby lines.  I still don't have the guts to play the Grand Martingale, but I'm having success with aggressive labby lines.  Hope to dedicate a portion of my bankroll to the Grand Martingale in the near future.  Keep up the great work!

I haven't read all the post. But up $2000 in 3 months with a $1000 bank is nice to see.

What's the longest losing streak? What was the amount you needed to risk at that point?

How do you get your plays? thanks.

Until Eagle loses 7 in a row, there isn't any problem with what he is doing. I think this whole thread should have zero criticism towards Eagle's strategy right now. He's winning over 3 months or somewhere around there and has more than doubled his bankroll. Plus he's managing his money, he's set aside risk capital. Sports gambling is risky no matter what, so I don't see how this is "bad strategy." And if you look at his record, if he was doing a normal 1 or 2 unit betting, he would be DOWN big looking at his record (67-84) but instead with this strategy, he's UP big

Congrats Eagle !  . .here's an idea.. divide your 3k into 2..and run 2  chases..using $1500 as the starting roll for each..... that way you keep your full 3k in play ..earning more $$ ...and the odds of you busting 2 lines at the same time would be pretty much slim to none imo ..whatever you do ..gl !

Keep the ideas coming!  Help me come to a decision!  If it werent for advice I would have never changed this thing to the Grand Martingale which has been awesome!  I thought about banking $2000 and starting over with $1000 and every $200 made off of the $1000 I would split, putting $100 in the bank and $100 towards the active bankroll.  That way, both would grow.  If or when I do lose 7 in a row I would then put the full bank amount back into action until I made up the amount lost and then repeat the process.

I would bank my original 1000, and chase with the profit

You can't loose by doing that, after the next double bank another 2000.

Eagle, great job my friend.  Words of advice, I would take out the original broll, which is 1000.  Split the remaining 2000 into 2 chases (1000 each) bet one traditional martingale and bet the other with the grand martingale(same picks for both brolls).  This is mainly to show which style is more optimal and efficient.  All in all, great job.
