Why won't survivor accept "consensus" pick?

Has anyone else received this message from Covers when trying to do a survivor pick?

SORRY: Due to the consensus for this game, we cannot accept your pick.

I'm trying to take the Red Wings minus $130 at Anaheim and this is the message I get. I've gotten this message before and can't understand why. What does it mean "Due to the consensus for this game." What consensus? What does that have to do with anything? This game is listed under Make Pick and is an eligible game to choose from based on the rules.

So why can't I take the damn Red Wings?

I think that there are so many people on the Red Wings, Wagerline takes the play off the board. Could be a hint to bet on that game at your favorite book.

Lost a 11 streak when I wanted the over with Thunder a few days back. Back at zero. Here we go for the hoodie! Then on to the $1k.

Parma has a great point. Every time my pick has been taken off 'due to consensus' I pounce on that bet and hedge it with any others I like or just solo ride. Getting about 75% win ratio when I come across them :)

How annoying is this stuff? Why is it even listed if they won't accept the pick? I just picked Montreal/Carolina NHL Under 5.5 and it won't take it. Annoying!

Guys,

It's only because too many users have picked it at that line.  If you check it later on, after there is a line move, you should be able to get your play in.
