Shades of his Yankee days, Aroldis Chapman had absolutely nothing when he took the mound for Boston, coughing up 4 hits without recording an out, and McCarthy is a left-handed batter as well vs Chappie, a lefty. I did put some cash on Colorado though picking up a useful $50.00.

Hello I'm one game behind, trying to win the monthly contest. I need some advice.
Someone barely ahead of me copied my pick, because they know I make solid picks. As I held the 1st place lead this month.
How do I properly combat this? If I wait until right before the game, the pick might not be available
Yeah, that's a good question. The thing is if you are wrong then he also will be wrong, so my opinion is it is dangerous for the other guy to do that especially with 6 days remaining in the month, so silly of him in my opinion. The last day or 2 of the month can really be stressful, and it becomes a game of cat and mouse. The one month that I did win, on the final day the #2 guy bravely picked early, and in the spirit of fair play I chose not to copy his pick but instead took a late-starting NBA game. As it turned out we were both correct.
In my opinion I have to go undefeated to win. And I have to believe in my handicapping abilities to win. So what you are saying is.. just assume I'm going to lose? Terrible advice.
The people 2 games back have no chance whatsoever. I'm concerned only with the people 1 game behind. Especially if they copy me, when I study specifically to lock in the play the night before.

I stand corrected on Shy. He had 2 extra wins credited. Two (one extra) for the June 16th Tor win & one I didn't notice for the Sea-LAA over of 4.5 which was voided. His actual record was 20-6 going into yesterday, and so he was already eliminated. His final record was 21-6. Geniuisnmates should be declared the actual winner, but who knows with all the mistakes being made.

I'm surprised Bama didn't play on the last day, since he was winning going into yesterday. I suspect that since Shy was winning his TB game handily, he may not have bothered to put in a pick, thinking Shy couldn't be caught. If so, those grading errors may have caused Bama the 1k.
