That's tough; I mean really tough. I love Covers too, but I'm stuck with a Sept. 4 pick which I have confidence they will void, since my pick was Detroit/Cleveland postponed by bad weather on June 14.

There is a myth that mondays is not good day for betting, today I choose under 9.5 for Rockies, due to over consensus was 67%, for my restarted picks, nothing to loose..let see

It is frustrating at times; rained out games don't get voided until later in the day when many of us working people don't return home until evening.

Boston lost to sorry ass Colorado and I lost my streak. That's what makes this so tough. No way should Boston be losing to Colorado in Colorad0 3-2. That Stadium is Hitters Paradise. Incredible

I'm spaced out enough as it is. On a more serious note, baseball is just nuts which makes it so beautiful. I lost my streakless streak too to Jake McCarthy's bases loaded triple in bottom of 9th. Shades of his Yankee days, Aroldis Chapman had absolutely nothing when he took the mound for Boston, coughing up 4 hits without recording an out, and McCarthy is a left-handed batter as well vs Chappie, a lefty. I did put some cash on Colorado though picking up a useful $50.00.

Hello I'm one game behind, trying to win the monthly contest. I need some advice.
Someone barely ahead of me copied my pick, because they know I make solid picks. As I held the 1st place lead this month.
How do I properly combat this? If I wait until right before the game, the pick might not be available

Yeah, that's a good question. The thing is if you are wrong then he also will be wrong, so my opinion is it is dangerous for the other guy to do that especially with 6 days remaining in the month, so silly of him in my opinion. The last day or 2 of the month can really be stressful, and it becomes a game of cat and mouse. The one month that I did win, on the final day the #2 guy bravely picked early, and in the spirit of fair play I chose not to copy his pick but instead took a late-starting NBA game. As it turned out we were both correct.

@Weedbaggins
There's 26 people within 2 games of the leader. You have 17 wins. I wouldn't worry about it if I was you because the amount of people that could leapfrog both of you is very high. Just make your picks and don't worry about what other people are picking at this point.

In my opinion I have to go undefeated to win. And I have to believe in my handicapping abilities to win. So what you are saying is.. just assume I'm going to lose? Terrible advice.
The people 2 games back have no chance whatsoever. I'm concerned only with the people 1 game behind. Especially if they copy me, when I study specifically to lock in the play the night before.

Well, if people are copying you with 6 days remaining in the month, then they are doing a very silly thing, as I stated earlier. smoothd20's post makes good sense to me. Baseball is a crazy, crazy, crazy game, and hot streaks of picking results can soon turn to cold streaks.

Last day of the monthly, and this guy, Shy6533, is not shy at all picking early Rays to win in Kansas City. So no cat and mouse game here. Now let's see if someone close by goes Royals to win.

Just an FYI for everyone. Shy's record is actually 21-5. He was credited with an extra win for his Tor-Bos win on June 16th. Same goes for GoSalukis, who actually has 20 wins and is already eliminated. Bama is in 1st pl (or should be) with a correct record of 22-6-1.

Thanks for that. I guess shy6533 was declared the winner at 23-5 after Rays thump Royals on June 30. I don't know what happened on June 16, but Covers probably budgets $1000 per month for a winner be it correct or incorrect.

I stand corrected on Shy. He had 2 extra wins credited. Two (one extra) for the June 16th Tor win & one I didn't notice for the Sea-LAA over of 4.5 which was voided. His actual record was 20-6 going into yesterday, and so he was already eliminated. His final record was 21-6. Geniuisnmates should be declared the actual winner, but who knows with all the mistakes being made.

I'm surprised Bama didn't play on the last day, since he was winning going into yesterday. I suspect that since Shy was winning his TB game handily, he may not have bothered to put in a pick, thinking Shy couldn't be caught. If so, those grading errors may have caused Bama the 1k.
Edit from prev post *Shy was 20-5 going into yesterday finished 21-5

Okay, thanks for that. I'm jumping on Rays bandwagon and going for 2-0 in July tonight. Yankees are disgusting with their enormous, mind-boggling contracts for over-sized men who can't stay on the field of play (i.e. Stanton and Judge).

If you would just bet $300 on your very first bet all you need is 10 picks to win over $100,000 betting -110 odds . Your trying to go over 17 picks well then 10 should be nothing to get .
