This is the beauty of baseball. On any given night Dogs are gonna win around 40% of the games if not more. So limiting money lines IMO doesn't mean much because a team at -200 could easily lose that particular day. Since we're doing it in the office pool section we should just go by office pool rules unless they're some settings I'm not aware of that we can change. So I say include sides, totals but no run lines or 5 inning choices. Just pick'em and win.

I was kidding about the totals. They offer totals and sides.
The only thing we have to figure is matchups, and make a bracket. We will have to keep track of that ourselves.
I think 20 bucks would make it more worth while and get more interest. But, again, I am down for anything.
I will ask Greenie if he wants to run it. If not, I can do the money. The money goes into paypal and stays in the account until payout.

so if we cant take a fave sittin at -190 but theyre runline drops it down to+110 so then it is with in our odds.
we dont have to worry about taking the underdog runlines because there odds will be well above the -150 mark

what about no bracket?? no matchups against each other
we start out, 3 picks a day for a week, the top 3-5 depending on how many peeps we have continue for a second week,,,,,the top 2 of the second week, go into the championship
the others keep picking to win the most wins durning the total of the tourney which would be a total of 3 weeks

but,,,those of us with money and jobs have to supply our own health care...meaning we have to get insurance and if we cant do that through our company than we have to pay for the full thing by ourselves!!!!! if we dont then we get fined!!!!!

Here is a link to the General Discussion Forum that has a basic understanding of Obamacare. I don't like getting into politics and religion with anyone, including my family...... My family for sure! LOL. But I wish they made information for Presidential candidates and there agenda as easy as it is to get information on handicapping games. A matchup page. A non-biased breakdown that all can look at. You sure as hell won't get that on any of the news channels. And most lazy asses won't get on the computer, and if they did wouldn't know where to go anyways. They will just listen to these ridiculous ads and make a decision from that.

DID you know that all the income tax collected every year only pays the interest on out national debt. It funds nothing. If corporate taxes were collected properly they would pay for everything from war to free healthcare all at the same time. taxable income was defined by the Supreme Court as corporate earnings and they specifically said this does not include salaries or wages of citizens. Democrat , Republican it doesnt matter they are both funded by the same sponsors. The IRS has gone on record saying they are above the law and do not care about what the Supreme Court has ruled. So your not paying for anyone's healthcare and could be getting it for free. I have none. cant even go to the dentist. People need to wake up and realize what this country is really about and if you want things to get worse keep voting republican. anything Obama does needs their approval or it doesnt get done and Obama is just another puppet.

I see my rant has stirred things up a bit. Edwardglenn if you're paying for your insurance than nothing changes for you. If your employer drops your insurance than you can get one from one of the exchanges which will be cheaper than what you pay now. If you can't pay that based on your income bracket than the government will pick up the tab.
I own my own small business. I can't afford insurance for me, wife and kids. That would run around $1500 per month. That's criminal in my opinion. Since we live in Oregon the kids are covered under the Oregon Health Plan for kids. Oregon had a health lottery a couple of years ago and my wife won. They drew 10,000 random uninsured adults and she got picked. She's lucky like that. I pay the Doc out of my pocket. Great Doctor I have. But again only in this country do we have this conversation. If it was up to me I would lock all the powers that be including Insurance execs in a hotel and say nobody's leaving until you come out with a plan for the people. I find it hard to believe that we Americans can't come up with a better system than the one we have now when the whole world except us has figured this out. If other countries can do it the United States of America should be able to give its people Universal Health Care. Screw the pharmaceutical companies. I don't how old some of you guys are but I remember a time when you couldn't advertise this crap on T.V. Now all you see on T.V is these damn pharmaceutical commercials where the side effects are death. The whole damn country is on meds of some sort. Unfortunately I have to take them myself for my high blood pressure ( I wonder why). No I'm sorry people I know for a fact that as Americans we can do better than this. This should have been handled back under T eddy Roosevelt but all the zealots came out and they have shot every proposal down since. The ironic thing about the Obamacare plan is that it was a Republican idea originated by Heritage Foundation (extremely conservative) and signed on by every Republican worth his salt back in the 80's. But like we are starting to realize this isn't your Daddy's Republican party. Ronald Reagan would be labeled as a liberal by today's Republican standards. Believe it or not I used to be a registered Republican back in the day. Then I realized the inmates were going to start running the asylum and I jumped ship back in the early 90's. I listened to Rush Limbaugh when he was Sacramento. This was before he became a professional comedian and actually made sense. Now I'm a Independent. I'm for common sense something that isn't common in America no more. Nope let's just ship all our jobs overseas (both political parties) open the borders (both political parties) become economic slaves to the Chinese (both political parties) run the biggest scam in the history of the country mortgage meltdown, bailouts (both political parties) all the while giving the American people nothing but crumbs off the table and then fight like hell to make sure they don't even get that. (both political parties) This system is so corrupt it would shock us if we knew the truth. I have had glimpses of it from personal experience and I'm reminded of Jack Nicholson in the movie Men of Honor. We don't want the truth because we can't handle the truth. That my good friends is the way it is in America circa 2012. People just don't give a rat's ass anymore. We have had 2 wars and you might as well think we went to freaking Disneyland. Unless you're in the military or have a loved one in the military, it's business as usual in America. Amazing. I'm ranting again please forgive me. But I just get worked up about how screwed up we have become. No morals, no backbone, do anything screw anybody to make a buck. God help us.

I like the tournament format the best. There are plenty of pools on this site with the other set up. Let's do something different. I think we could make this an event we do twice a year. Summer and Winter. We will call it the $25 Dime Club Classic. We have to cap it at 32 people if we get it that high. That would make it a 5 week tournament. 16 people makes it a month. I will rank the players based on Stars and if players have the same amount of stars I will rank based on Survival pct. So I say let's just do straight winners, $20 gets you in. Winner gets 70% consolation to the pick with most winners over the course of the tournament gets 30%. No run lines and all that stuff. Totals and sides 3 picks per day mano y mano. Let's rack'em up boys!

As far as the insurance thing. I don't have insurance and don't want none. When I die I die. I will not qualify for free insurance cause I make too much money. Therefor if I don't pay for my own I will be fined. I think it's a great concept but it still needs to be tweaked. Ya dig.
As far as the tourney. I love the tourney idea just thought that might make it a bit easier.
