Serious Streak Survivor Strategies

I'm going with UConn -4 over Cincy for W3.

Kansas also wrecked me on the espn streak for the cash game. I was up to W2 after big wins by Michigan (won by 30) and Duke wins by 25 or more (won by 42) and I took Kansas to win by 25 or more and they promptly sent me back to 0. After getting back to W1 with Syracuse wins by 15 or more (won by 17) I took Tottenham to win a soccer game and it ended 0-0 and the other side was coupled with the draw making the Tottenham pick a loss. The point is that I would not have picked soccer with a W4 if Kansas hadn't screwed me but with only a W1 I went for it. After losing with soccer I took Kentucky (straight up) over West Virginia and got back to W1. I would be at W5 if not for OVERRATED KANSAS!

Yeah SFTC is getting serious because the leader is only at 20. He can definitely be taken. So we have plenty of time to take that prize this month as well.

I really want to see Gonzaga kick BYU's butt!

Thanks Kansas St for messing up my bracket! I still got my final 4 intact as long as UCONN keeps it going. I'm in the top 100 on Yahoo! Not bad out of 3 million people but the funny thing is thats not the bracket that I'm playing for money with friends. We do live in the Matrix don't we.

streak survivor strategy....this is not gambling, in gambling you are trying to hit a nice percentage, in streak you need 100%...so i personally only will play overs on the possibility of overtime or technicals or free throws or any of those possible suck outs....i'm also looking into the idea of only playing underdogs, i know there are some good favorite picks but the problem with favorites is they are first and foremost trying to win, they couldnt care less about the spread (example: ND vs. Akron-- everyone was all pissed at ND for "shaving" points, but what the hell do they care about covering...

Why did I take over 140.5 when I could have gotten 139 last nite. I lost all because of that 1.5 line change. And to make things worse if Texas had 1 more point this would be a win and the game would be in OT.
Last nite I lost my 3 game basketball Hot Streak because I took the Memphis Grizzlies to score 100 or more and they got 99. Now I needed 70 from each team and the game ends 70-69. I am so SICK of LOSING SCREW TEXAS. I had them in the final 4 in 11 of my brackets. By missing 1 shot to many 11 of my brackets are ruined and my streak is at 0 but some people got Pushes. I'd rather Push then lose and I always lose in the close situations. Screw Texas, 1 more basket and my brackets aren't damaged and my streak is at 4 instead of 0.

Some people got a Push I get a Loss that is NOT fair!
I am sick of losing the close ones. SCREW TEXAS!

Duke blows a double digit lead on Streak for the Cash and Texas scores 6 points in the last 4 minutes. I can't seem to get past 3 in any game. I'm under a curse and I don't deserve it.

I want to take a moment and say thank you to the men and women of who are part of the 25 Dime Club. Time and again you guys have shown nothing but class in supporting whoever has a good streak going and when the streak is over you have offered support. Thats a lot more than I can say for some of these low class dirt bags who couldn't pick a winning horse out of a 2 horse field. I'm proud to be associated with people who  have class.

I have a question for Rizzo. What was the starting date for this contest? I am curious, I see that some epic runs are from 2001-2002.

Was out of town for the NCAA tourney regional in Tuscon. Got the over with Bama-UNM tonight. Taking the Bulls @ -3.5 tomorrow. Unreal CHI is tied for #1 seed! Love DRose! Awesome stuff :) It would be a bit of a stretch for me to say I enjoy seeing ANYONE struggle but I do like to see some eat CROW occasionally. LBJ and now, melo(drama), and his antics to leave a great franchise and winning team in Denver. I don't wish ill upon him but a lil' karma?? Gotta say that the new Nuggets play a TEAM entertaining exciting brand of ball. 8 different high scorers since their trade :) Good stuff. Maybe a year to mesh but they got a great batch of deep young players!

How' bout that Butler-Pitt ending?? Feel for Pitt on the dumb foul. Coach Dixon shouldn't have to coach them but why do you risk them even on the lane once it was tied?? Crazy... Keep on keepin on heels :) kow!

I am a huge fan of Melo's offensive game but I think these players calling the shots has gotten out of hand personally. I understand others perceive it differently and have no qualms. Great rant Clintontorious! I really don't have a problem with Melo because I saw this coming a long time ago when he married La La Vasquez. I see her on twitter and told everybody Melo will be playing in NY. I said this before the season started. When my friends asked how did I know I told them because the "booty" always rules. La La made no secret she wanted Melo in New York and didn't care for Denver. End of story. Men, regardless of how much money they have will always follow what the woman wants. At least Melo didn't do what Lebron did so I give him credit for that.
