Somebody want to explain why the Rutgers-Louisville is only set at 41.5? There last 5 meetings 53,48,77,79,61(Ty covers for that info) Game temp should be 48-little wind and no rain. It seems like the over is the no brainer

I'm going against one of my teams (Syracuse) because I'm not impressed on how we are doing despite being 4-2. Syracuse is in the early stages of rebuilding it's program (Year 2) but it's a 2nd year let down, taking a step backwards after going 7-5 in Year 1 and winning a bowl game. Last year Syracuse won 4 games by 20+ and this year their biggest margin of victory is just 7 including wins against Rhode Island (by 7) and Tulane (by 3). The Orange have allowed high passing yards to mediocre opponents and West Virginia has one of the best offenses in the country. West Virginia -14 for Win #4 on survivor and either West Virginia by 15+ or Geno Smith for 155+ 1st half passing yards for Win #10 on SFTC.

Rutgers-Louisville is tough to cap but I'm going to disagree with Reddoggie and say the Under is the way to go. Louisville is having problems scoring and Rutgers Defense is pretty solid. I say take the Under but don't put any significant streaks on it.

I agree these 2 teams have played to the under all year. I'll take your under pick and add I feel Louisville wins. 20-16. These are 2 teams I don't normally bet on and have yet to watch but based on what I have Louisville and the under looks right. I am going to watch WVU/SYR game.

Story Time- I'm gonna tell you guys a true story about me and Muhammad Ali. Of course you notice my Ali Avatar. Way back in 1982 when I was still in college my roomate had a friend. He was an eccentric sort of man. So one day my roommate Winston brought his crazy friend over to our apartment and he announced that we were going Muhammad Ali's house and did I want to go. I played along with this obvious rouse and said "sure when are we going?" he says right now but first we had to go to his place. We lived in the Wilshire District and "Harold" lived on the Westside. So we take a bus to Harold's house. It was a nice house on Sycamore in West LA. We go to his house and he has sheets hanging in the window for curtains. It was a nice house but it looked like he had just moved in. I asked rather casually. "Harold did you just move in you have a great place" "Oh no" he says "We have been living here for almost a year" needless to say I was shocked because the place wasn't organized in the least. At any rate after spending about 30 minutes at Harold's house. He asks "so are you ready to go to Muhammad's house?" I give Winston one of those WTF is up with this guy looks. I says sure Harold let's roll. So we get back on the bus headed East toward our place. Ali lived in Hancock Park which was West of my place but East of where Harold lived. While we're on the bus Harold is telling everybody we're headed to Ali's house. I'm embarrassed as hell so I have this sheepish look on my face like whatever he says. The bus drops us off. It's me Winston and crazy ass Harold. We get to the gate and Harold calmly says to the Security guard this is Harold whatever his last name was and I'm here to see Muhammad Ali. I felt like a fool. The guard calls the house and the maid picks up and says to let us in. I couldn't believe it. So now I'm looking for the hidden cameras so I'm thinking this is one of those candid camera shows. I'm looking at Winston like Is this real. Well lo and behold we walk up to his house after being cleared by Security. The maid answers the door she apparently knows Harold and lets us in. She was a British lady. She sits us at the dining room table ask us if we would like a drink. I ask for water. The house was modest, nothing outrageous. Harold asks where Ali was and the maid says he's out for the evening with his wife Veronica. 2 kids come into the dining room and the little boy asked me did I know his Daddy I told him I knew who his Daddy is but I've never met him. Then the little girl comes in and she is kind of shy. I didn't know until much later that little girl would become the great Laila Ali. The maid gave us a very brief tour of the living room. She wasn't too keen on having a couple of young guys who she didn't know in the house. After about 15 minutes she announces that Ali doesn't like people in the house too when he's not there. Harold says he understands and he was hoping Ali was home to introduce us. We thanked her for the water and left. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life but I'm grateful to crazy Harold for sharing it with me. I never saw Harold again but Winston and I would talk about that for a few years after the experience. There is a rest of the story which I will share with you next.

The rest of the story as the great Paul Harvey used to say. So years later around 1987 or 88 I'm in the bank. It was a 1st Interstate bank right on Wilshire Blvd. I just finished making a deposit in the bank and as I'm about to leave I notice several men hell it was entourage coming into the bank. The men were walking extremely slow. So I stand to the side there must have been about 10-12 men in dark suits. As I'm standing to the side I notice that the man they are walking with is Muhammad Ali himself. So one of his body guards is standing next to me and he strikes up a conversation. He says we apologize for this hold up and I stand there with my jaw on the floor going "Is that Ali"? The body guard confirms it is him. I couldn't believe how slow he was moving. From the time they walked in it took Ali a good 5-7 minutes to get to a Teller. That's how slow he was walking. The bodyguard tells me that he moves really slow because he has Parkinson's and its really bad. I told him I heard about that but seeing him this way put it in perspective. He asked me would I like to meet him. I said "of course" I mention that I had a chance to meet him a long time ago but it didn't work out. I never mentioned that I was at his house with crazy ass Harold. We talked for what seemed like an eternity waiting for Ali to finish his business. When Ali finished he walked towards us and it took him a good 5 minutes to get to us. The bodyguard says to Ali. Mr. Ali I would like you to meet Derrick he was kind of enough to wait on the side while we came into the bank.
Let me tell you guys something I have met alot of celebrities in my time and have been lucky to call a few friends. But the presence that Muhammad Ali has even with his Parkinson's disease is other worldly. This man has a very strong spirit. A true man of God. The guard introduces us and we shake hands. Ali cracked a joke and I couldn't understand a word but I laughed because everybody else laughed. I told him how I enjoyed watching him fight and he told me God bless you I could barely hear that but that's what he said. I walked with him out the door, thanked the bodyguard for introducing me and he said "no thank you for being patient with us" It was just an incredible experience and of course I never mentioned to even Ali that I was at his house several years prior with his crazy friend Harold and that fellas is the rest of the story. I hope you enjoyed it but that's my connection to Ali the greatest fighter ever in my opinion but more importantly a truly great man.

I live near what used to be his training camp in PA. In the 70's it was common to see him in the city of Reading. Smoking Joe Frazier had his gym in the city of Reading as well and back then you could approach those guys like they were just from the neighborhood. If I only knew how times would change I could have autographs from not only Ali and Frazier but Vince McMahon and the wrestlers that later made him a billionaire once his dad past way and Vince got the business. Vince's favorite thing from us kids that would bring tears of laughter would be me asking one of his superstars (i.e. Bruno Sanmartino) for an autograph and then as I would walk away I would turn and say "hey Bruno time to retire you suck and rip the autograph up. Bruno's face would get all red and he would yell at us waving his fist saying "you little bastards!!!". We had no ideal Vince was the future owner. My favorite was while in the locker room Captain Lou Albano would cover my ears and say sorry kid some words you just shouldnt hear yet. this would be a monthly event when McMhaon's dad owned the local wrestling and they would come to Hamburg Field House for the show. The part I thought was cool was I could go and see it on a Wednesday nite and Saturday morning I could see myself on TV either getting autographs or just walking by the ring. I never took care of those autographs at the time they were worthless and it was just part of the show. If I would of taken care of them,(all Hall of Famers now), one of the was the now famous Hulk Hogan who at the time was only Terry Hogan the Golden Boy from California and his job was to be the asshole so he was not popular at the time.
Sorry Smooth your story reminded me of a long time ago when the stars of today where every day people, and i feel like a fool now not realizing who my grandfather had me around during those times. I also had no ideal all my grandpop was involved in either, he was a WWII vet who stormed the beaches of Normandy who worked on the railroad with plenty of connections with Henry Hill like priveledges. Now those people are all rich and my grand parents passed away. If pops was here he would smack me in the back of the head and shake his head since he was a man of little words like any Pollock with Sicilian "friends".....lol

GL with your pick. I agree the pack should tear up the vikes Rodgers is just too good to describe with words. My only problem with games like these are that Vegas, online sportsbooks, and local books will get hammered with all kinds of plays involving the pack. and the line is staying at 9-9.5.
Last week it was the Saints and Bucs won outright. Sometimes the bettors get one and the books all take a hit but the majority of times the general public will lose.
There are things in games like this that we don't ever get to hear until after kickoff. Will pack play like the team we all know they can be or do they play another game like the 2nd half last week with no scoring and content to win. We will see for sure if McNabb is just past his prime or do the vikes really suck that bad.

Yes Booyahz you are correct. Those days seem to be gone for good. The innocence of being a child and not really knowing the deal with people can be a blessing. I remember Lou Albano and Bruno. Great story sounds like your Granddad had some good connections back in the day. The best part about these experiences is it really puts into perspective that at the end of the day people are just people good and bad and we all basically want the same thing regardless of our background.

Don't beat us up too bad there Reddoggie. We're having a rough year. I usually make the trip up there to that "inflatable toilet" that you refer to but I don't think this is going to be that year. We never should have fell in love with Favre. It was a one night stand and we tried to get married. It set us back 4 years screwing around with Favre last year.

My boys love the Goonies. They used to watch it all the time. Part of that movie was filmed in Astoria, Oregon on the coast and my boys swear that some of it was filmed here in Beaverton suburb of Portland. I really don't know maybe you can shed some light on the filming location.

Now that peace has come back to the 25 Dime Club we can start focusing on some of these great streaks we have going on. How about Jcoby! Talk about a quiet streak. This guy is closing in on $100K and hardly a word about it. Maybe I'm out of the loop I don't know but Congrats to Jcoby and hopefully you take down that Big Prize!

We will see for sure if McNabb is just past his prime or do the vikes really suck that bad.
this means the vikings will be without 3 of their starting d backs. I have Rodgers as my fantasy QB and he should break all passing records..I also have AP but if its 21-0 pack after the first--the vikings will pass all day long to play catch up.Adrian will be worthless. Last "Do the vikes suck that bad" Its a toss up between them and the goofers!!! Nebraska 34--Minn -0 and only half-time
