Also…to stop the negative victimization I wrote earlier…I was just venting…and it’s time to get the good vibes back…
I know this much…LA has been a Godsend and we are grateful for your knowledge and picks…they are just suggestions as nothing is a LEDPIPE.
There’s always more games…that’s the beauty of it!!
GL tonight everyone…I personally think Portugal can win out(including tonight) until they play France at some point. One of us will win so GL ALL!!
See Ya’ll at the cashing window! ![]()

Here is my take on the Uzbekistan/DR Congo game...
I am not quite sure why DR Congo are such heavy favorites. Yes, Uzbekistan has given up goals to both Colombia and Portugal, but neither the stakes of those games nor the caliber of offense is close to what we will find tonight. True, if Congo can win that will get them to the knockout rounds, so there are high stakes here too. But squaring off in the games against Portugal and Colombia, shows just how good their defense is.
The Uzbekistan offense was able to get a goal against Colombia but their defense gave up far too many against both Portugal and the Colombians. But they came out for the first match of the WC against a very pro Colombian crowd and then the second game against a very motivated Portuguese squad with something to prove. Tonight things are different.
In both games that DR Congo played, they were underdogs. Tonight they are taking the role of favorites, something that I think will affect them as well as the pressure to actually win a game they should. I don't see a very high scoring game and I don't see a clear advantage for either side. I would consider a real dart on Uzbekistan for small but I"m passing on this as I can also see a draw.
And sucks Croatia need to score again. More the reason not to press on the Congo game.

Hoping Portugal slip to 3rd in Group K tonight. can't wait to see them take on this overrated England team in the knockouts and send them packing.

Decent results with Croatia and I'll take the England push with the way they have been playing.
I'm going to update record and also then update the plays that are active.
ENGLAND -2 (-165) PUSH ![]()
CROATIA (-125) ![]()
CROATIA -1 (+160) PUSH ![]()
Wish England could have scored at least one early but such was not to be.
UPDATED TOURNAMENT: 91-58-3 (BIG PLAY: 32--19-3)

Have these both still active and I am about to add another. Write-up in post #28.
YES BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (PORTUGAL/COLOMBIA) -165
COLOMBIA FG (+.5) -130...BIG PLAY!!!
Pumped for this game but I really think, based on the way these teams play, Colombia has every bit of a chance to win. Lineups are strong so we can regroup at halftime.

@LAGameofInches
Glad to see you are on Colombia - Your bet +½ is the same as double chance COL/Draw
I'm on the same ![]()
I'm Miami tonight, Colombia may not win but losing is a longshot
Also now that they are +280 I am taking them small on the 3-way, bad move but, well, I'm a homer ![]()
Let's get this!!!

Well...Colombia playing well but can't say it's been smooth sailing.
On to the next game, where Argentina seems to always win the first half. Mind you, even before the World Cup games they have been winning the first halves. And many of those games didn't feature Messi starting. So the fact he is not aging today won't change much.
Many of the substitute Argentina players will be hungry to score. The others don't not score b/c they are incapable, they are always looking to feature Messi. Now that he is on the bench, look for many of these top tier players to try and make a mark in a game where they should really pummel Jordan.
The one good thing about Jordan is that they have put up a fight, especially early. But the problem with that is Lionel Scaloni, Argentina's coach, should be very well aware of this. And given how he likes to start off games, I expect them to control possession and find the back of the net, especially early. There is a chance that Messi comes out and features in the second half as well:
ARGENTINA FH -1 (+130)...BIG PLAY!!!: Trying this again, England should have had more urgency. Argentina will not feel any pressure to win and perform and so they should come out free flowing even without Messi.
JULIAN ALVAREZ ANYTIME SCORER (-105): He will have a good 70 minutes at least, if not more, to get on the score sheet against a Jordanian side that has given up some goals, even if many were in the second halves of games. Obviously from the play above I expect an Argentina FH showing and that gives Alvarez as good a chance as any to score.
ARGENTINA TT OVER 2.5 (-133): As mentioned above, maybe Messi comes on a bit later in the game and if he does he will be very motivated to try to add to his goal tally. Even if he doesn't enter the game, Argentina should get at least 2 as Jordan doesn't let in less than that so 3 is definitely attainable.
What a finish we are having in this Colombia game. Taking me forever to finish this post because of how exciting the game is. Let's bring this home!

Really great win with Colombia. Unloaded on them so very solid return on the day.

I posted the plays on Argentina/Jordan. I'm not sure I'm going to be playing the Austria game though it's hard for me to imagine Algeria being the outright winner. Odds are pretty muted on the game so I think people are expecting a very low scoring affair. Austria have also been red hot coming into the tournament but they score quite a few of their goals in the second half.
