OMG!!!  Went to the gym and figured I'd miss the first 10 minutes of the match but Messi missed a penalty???????!!!!!

NO BUENO for the FH.  He's usually automatic with PK and that would have squarely put them on top with all the momentum for the rest of the 45.

They look lost from what I've seen but maybe they are rattled?

Come on Argentina!!!

He telegraphed that penalty kick and then had nothing on it. Messi is getting old and slowing down. The first good team they play in the knockout round will send them home.

They said he missed 3 penalty kicks made 7 in world cup so not automatic and I am sure better penalty kickers on team but no way they let someone else do it

Unreal and I agree.  I just saw it again why did he hitch?  He never does.  When Kane did this the other day he also missed then was luckily given a redo that he just blasted.  No reason Messi shouldn't have just picked a top corner spot and just hit it.  Strange run-up.  Could this be Argentina not in control today?

Players over think it. There is no need for them to stutter walkup like that. Pick a corner and blast it. The goalie has no chance

Messi has missed 3 out of 7 PK’s in the World Cup.

Messi is well known for the stutter-step or slight hitch when he takes penalties, and he’s missed 3/7 - not automatic.

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!  YESSSSSSS!!!!  YESSSSS!!!!

10 more minutes to a 5 figure payout I was sick to my stomach until this moment.  Now I'll be pacing until the end of the half.

I might have sharted screaming so hard!  Happy I didn't see the missed penalty and saw this.

Hard not to like this dude.

Ya’ll are so quick to shoot down Messi when he has done nothing but ball out in some way in just about every game he’s played since he even arrived to Inter Miami.

CHILLLLL…as the commentator said..you can’t stop GREATNESS!!!
