I dont hate any teams.........But as soon as one wins that isnt supposed to.......then I will hate a team..........So right now its all love for the teams so long as the ones I picked are winners........

Heskey is big and strong.....he is slow and cant run with the ball much............What Heskey brings to the table is his ability to hold the ball up when his team is defending to give them time to get out....He hasnt scored nmuch recently but I dont think that is his role....Ofcourse everyone sets out to score but he is a seasoned vetren and he will recieve the ball at the half way mark......control and hold it, and then he makes the smart pass......He has good strength and height and so far, he has teamed up the best Rooney.....I guess because Heskey knows hes not a prolific goal scorer so he always looks for the unselfish pass to Rooney.....Rooney has done well when partnered with Heskey......Why put in a little inexperienced bent...He will shine next time.......Its Heskeys turn.......by the way,,,,,,,,Defoe can do what Bent can do but only better................

You probably only get a fraction of what I see.  North Jersey is horrible w/ all these Italian fans.

Sad thing is that most of these fans are 3rd/4th generation Italians and in most cases are only part Italian. 

Doesn't make sense to me that they root for a country that they weren't even born in and the USA is competing.  They're proud to be American when it's convenient.

Side Note:  Guiseppe Rossi's an asshole and I'm glad he didn't make the trip to SA. 

With that being said, I don't hate any national teams but American born Italy fans.  They can suck it.

i live in north jersey, born in North jersey. But grandparents born in italy and i speak italian, and have had a huge italian flag in my bedroom from the day i was born. Does that make me one of those "bandwagon" fans? This is the only thing I refuse to root for the USA in. Everything else I root through and through for USA and Italia equally.

oh Italy for sure... they got so many calls to go their way to win the last world cup. Didn't play like champions in my book

Born and raised in Hudson County.  Great-grandparents off the boat from Palermo.  Glad and proud of our peoples' contribution that help make this glorious nation. 

However, I find it disconcerting that most Italian-Americans would rather have their ancestors' country win it all over their own.  I'm absoulutely in the minority but I just dont understand it.

Watching Italy in the World Cup or any other international match is like watching two dicks slap each other, it aint pretty.  Italy, hands down.
