My guess is that if the Swiss need to win in their last game, which is almost a sure thing - that the line will be about -175 for them to win.

Just a guess, but I think that is probably about right.

Van, I have another question if you have some time to kill.

Let's say Brazil beats the Ivory Coast in their 2nd game and Portugal beats N. Korea. This would mean that after 2 games Brazil will be sure of advancing. If at this point it looks like Spain have a good chance at finishing 2nd, is there any chance Brazil will play subs or something against Portugal....since if they lost they would come 2nd and wouldn't have to face Spain in the Round of 16? I guess the same could be said for Portugal, although they would need at least a draw against Brazil to advance.

The way I see it the Swiss HAVE TO move on after this upset. Also, Spain will now slaughter Honduras and get their differential back, and I don't think Chile has the striking quality to crack through the Swiss defense. 

To me a Chile-Swiss tie is advantage Swiss. And with live betting, if it appears Chile have the upper hand I can always bet them and get my money back.

Here's a question for you van: If Spain are either out or finish 2nd, and with Italy losing Buffon probably for the rest of the cup, what exactly is going to be on the right side to move on? 

To me Germany and potentially the Ivory Coast look like prime contenders to go to at least the last 4 now.

A Chile / Swiss (that makes me hungry) draw is definitely an advantage to the Swiss.

Germany would have to beat Argentina - and I personally think Argentina will win that game.  But your point is well taken - and I wrote about it in the original preview in this thread - we have a big chance of a VERY unbalanced bracket.  The lower part of the bracket might be Paraguay and Switzerland, to play the winner of the Argentina Germany game in the Semis.

Im not sold on the Ivory Coast - they still have to beat out Portugal, but if they do that second place will look much better than the first place in that group ......

Need to keep attacking though - its too early to sit back - although the longer it goes the more SA will have to gamble - and are prone to the counter.
