Both these teams have been filling the net with ease of late and Vancouver at home is a goal scoring machine. The problem is, they have a knack for conceding goals as well. Vancouver has seen 4 or more total goals in 4 of their past 5 games overall and their last 3 home games finished 4-3, 2-2 and 3-1.
Chivas has lost 5 straight and in so doing has allowed at least 2 goals in their last 5 games inckuding 4 goals twice and 3 goals on another occassion.
I handicap Chivas scoring at least a goal given Vancouver's tendency to concede but also see Vancouver scoring plenty in this game.
My handicap for this game is 4.21 and this game can get lopsided for a Vancouver team playing with some offensive coyness.
My spreadsheets give me Vancouver 3-2, 3-1, 3-1 and 3-0 so I will take the shot with them here at 3 fetching plus money.
LA GALAXY V PORTLAND OVER 2.5 -114 to win 2 units
Sometimes it's one of those days where the numbers just spit out high scoring probabilities. This game is no different as the Galaxy welcome back Robbie Keane to the lineup. They are a completely different team when he's in the lineup and he should help the Galaxy score and get out of their doldrums but they will have to do so against an in form Portland who likes to play an up-tempo attacking style of football.
My post probable outcome for this game is 2-2 with an attack minded Portland, a Galaxy team that allows goals but can score as well especially when Keane is in the lineup as he so often hooks up with Donavan.
over 2.5 has cashed in 4 of the last 5 head to head meetings between these two teams.
LA's last 5 games finished 1-3, 0-5, 4-0, 0-1 and 4-1.
Portland's last 5 finished 1-0, 2-2, 2-0, 2-2 and 3-0
As you can see, we have two teams that usually give us many goals in their games and I see no difference tonight.
My spreadsheets give Me at least 3 goals in all scenarios. 2-1 Galaxy, 2-1 Portland, 2-2, and 2-2 with my power rating giving me 4.06.
