I'll start off by stating that I wasted almost 20 minutes of my life drafting a post to publish for both France winning this AM and for this upcoming play, only to have it all erased by COVERS and show me some "504 Gateway Timeout". So I didn't have enough time to redraft the earlier game and am now making my final attempt for this game.
I'm not going to rewrite the length of the original posting but I will say this game is a lot like the Champions league Final, albeit with a different atmosphere and stakes on the line. But I see Spain as the better team, younger team, more destined team, and with the best player in the world in Lamine Yamal. I think today he gets his glory as do the Spaniards in a game that might start off nervy, but I also feel might see Portugal not score.
The game is on a neutral field in Germany and while Portugal put up 2 goals on Germany last time out, I do not think they really have much firepower and only took advantage of the German lapses on defense and how untidy the squad was. But this is not about Germany, it's about how good Spain is and, how lethal they can be. Yes, they gave up 4 goals to the French but that was mainly due to them "letting their guard down" and the French having too much pride. I think Portugal are comprised of aging stars, their best player in my opinion is Nuno Mendes, a defensive midfielder who can create chances on offense. But Ronaldo is a bit slower than he used to be and for that reason I think he doesn't get on the scoresheet as much these days.
I do not see any way Spain does not win this game and if it goes to overtime I think Udai Simon is the better goalkeeper. Sure, the Portugese have a chance, but I think the spread gives them too much of one.
SPAIN (-115)....BIG PLAY
SPAIN TO LIFE THE TROPHY (-190)....HUGE PLAY
Sure, this might be a bit pricey but like the Champions League I think this can be safely played. I have also thrown a prop on "NO" (both teams to score) and a dart on Mikel Merino as anytime goal scorer. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...and to myself for this post getting published!
