 How old are you.  I will be 48 next month and will retire at 55 but that has more to do with my line of work

32yo. Generation behind me is even more fkd.

I'm lucky to be in my line of work as well and fortunate to have a steady life, but I'm just talking comparatively.

My life could be 1000x harder and I try to be thankful for everything I have and have access to. Gotta be better at it though

 Gotcha.  My line of work offers retirement at 55 and at moment thats my plan.  Short of it we have lived for last 20 years near wifes fsmily and 3 hours away from mine.  Had an opportunity to make that gap a little smaller but wife couldnt leave.  Told her if we stay here im done at 55.  When we were in mid 30s that seemed like would never come bur its visible now
