if you have a 3 way system padre (W L or Draw) then you can do a NTL

(im guessing your book has a 3 way system, pretty normal)

an NTL will typically give you better odds than performing the same intention through a pick em

at least this is the case with my book

Not To Lose:

Its the same as Team A +1/2 goal on the spread or Asian Handicap.

But if Team A is a pickem on the spread, THAT IS NOT CONSIDERED A Not To Lose BET because  on a pickem, a draw pushes your bet and refunds your money.

 

NTL (example only)

Team A to win at +150
Team A to Draw at +250

If Team A wins or draws, you win your bet
If Team A loses, you lose your bet.

So you would put a portion of your wager to WIN and a smaller portion of your wager to DRAW, guaranteeing you some profit if Team A wins or draws.

 

Note:
This type of bet is MUCH MORE expensive than just taking Team A to win or taking Team A to draw.  With the prices above, an NTL bet will be in the ball park of -300 to win or draw.
