SPAIN vs. ARGENTINA WORLD CUP PLAYS (7/19)

Was evident there would be a lot of boos about a low scoring final after yesterday’s game. Had you watched the postgame yesterday you would also understand about game flow and why 0-0 is just as possible as 3-3 or even 6-4. 

Both games were great in their own right.

 Sorry for the rough ending these last few weeks. Tourney started great then came crashing down. Let's be real. I took Spain for many reasons. They gave up one goal all tourney. I repeat, one goal all tourney. Defense wins you ball games. BOL in NFL this year. 

Tough tourney man. Good start but rough 2nd half. That said... tune out the trolls and bounce back in September. Best of luck this Fall & see you around soon! Also sorry to hear about the family health and keep your head up.

Can some Soccer expert here tell me if I wager Spain to score first (live)for regulation, is that a win, loss , or push??  My local book showed me loss and it makes no sense to me... plz help

 What are “classic sports?”

this was the World Cup final! Happens every 4 years…..not yearly. Teams that reach it to here are playing crazy defense since one goal could change the remaining strategy for the game.

You must be referring to US sports where they are emphasizing scoring.

You do realize football (referred globally not soccer) is THE global sport and not any of your “classic sports.”

if you lost your big parlay on a sport you know nothing of (and also didn’t hedge), you didn’t deserve to win.

It’s a loss. No one scored in regulation let alone Spain. Scoring in Extra Time doesn’t count I am sorry to say.

 I still believe that old adage too but it's not as proven anymore. But great defenses in all sports still rise to the occasion and when on no matter how many rules are twerked to benefit offense they still do win games.

The real record or made up record not counting juice? In a few days he’ll probably come in here and say he had a sublime day on his final bets. He’s definitely down in units overall this WC. Regression hit hard the 2nd half of the tourney. Group stage are way easier to bet on than knockouts. 

I agree that juice is very important. 

LaGI, if you don't keep track of units won and lost, I won't be a follower anymore. Wins and loses means absolutely nothing, we all know that, especially if you are a season veteran of sports betting. 

You can have a negative record and still be up units. 

These are my thoughts for you to improve and not get clowned on in the future.

 I understand the juice I been betting for 60 years thank you I was just wondering if he came out on top this is the first time I ever bet on soccer it's worst then hockey when they had the split line

He was down a couple units last week overall and finished terribly, so I’m sure it was even worse. When NFL kicks off, he can’t wait to tell that forum how great he did in the WC. Mark my words.

Thank you LA, for the World Cup posts. Started hot but cooled off a bit at the end. Still, I always appreciate the thought and reasoning you put into your picks. On a final note, I noticed you were a bit too biased toward France, which ended up biting your butt in the end. Looking forward to your insights on other sports
