Hasn't been a great morning, my elderly mom fell and needed to go to the ER so just getting to posting. Should have just done it last night. France game was awesome to watch just not really profitable. I expect just as after France lost me in the semis, to recover money on todays Final.
Crazy it's already over but we have a heavyweight matchup today between Spain and Argentina. I'll say this, if Argentina win, then Messi becomes part of the only team to have repeated as champions since Brazil did it with Pele many years ago. He also wins his 49th trophy, which I believe is a record. And, then, arguably, he would have put himself square in the favorite conversation for the Ballon D'Or, which would be his 9th, also a record.
The next World Cup in 2030 is being played in Spain (along with Portugal and Morocco). The Spanish side is awesome, but young. The Argentinians are more fortunate it seems, but more experienced. I think Spain gets it done on home soil next time out, just not this time.
I'm personally expecting the same Argentina team, which means they will lift the Cup at the end of the game and Messi will go down as the greatest player ever. But they will probably concede and they have not been good in the FH's of recent, for whatever reason, but then somehow get it done when the game seems out of reach. And don't forget along with Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernandez is having a remarkable tournament. And Julian Alvarez also looks very lively of late.
I dont' expect as many goals today, clearly, than there was yesterday, but I believe Argentina find a way to the back of Udai Simon's net.
Lionel Messi gave the Spanish people as lot to cheer about and adore. But today he will be showing them that he is still the one they considered the best in the world, as unfortunate as that might be for them. I'm going to play the 13 man Argentina team (the refs and crowd will be the 12th and 13th) with the best player to have played the game given the chance to rewrite history. But Spain will control possession early and I believe the FH:
YES BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE SPAIN/ARGENTINA (-135)...BIG PLAY!!!:
OVER 1 FH SPAIN/ARGENTINA (+135)
ARGENTINA TO LIFT THE TROPHY (+135)...BIG PLAY!!!
ARGENTINA +1/2 (-150)...IN REGULATION TIME ONLY
Argentina games have seen both teams score and as I said earlier, I don't see this as being very different. Argentina finds themselves in a lot of extra time and penalties so I am going to take the spread in case that happens again and also include penalties for them to win the cup. Twelve of Argentina’s last 13 games saw scoring in both halves so that is the reasoning on the FH over, which is really nicely priced.
Got to post this, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
