NFL Divisional Round Preview: Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos
This isn't just a playoff game. This is a narrative collision of the highest order. The Denver Broncos, perched atop the AFC with a league-best 14-3 record, host a divisional round game for the first time in nearly a decade. Their mission is singular: validate a dominant season and erase the haunting memory of last year’s playoff exit at the hands of… the Buffalo Bills. Speaking of the Bills, they arrive as a dangerous, battle-hardened sixth seed, a team built around the superhuman will of Josh Allen. They’ve been here before—this marks their third trip to the divisional round in four years—but the ultimate prize remains elusive. For Denver, it’s about proving they belong in the Super Bowl conversation. For Buffalo, it’s about survival, resilience, and taking one more step toward a championship that has danced just out of reach. The thin air of Denver will be thick with tension, history, and the promise of an instant classic.
Deep Dive: The Philosophies at War
Denver Broncos: The Imposing Juggernaut
The Identity: Defense Wins Championships. Forget the numbers; feel the pressure. With 68 sacks—a mark tied for the 5th-most in NFL history since 1963—this Broncos defense is a relentless, swarming entity. It’s not one player; it’s a symphony of disruption. Jonathon Cooper (8 sacks), Nik Bonitto (14 sacks), and rookie Dondrea Tillman (4 sacks) come in waves. They force mistakes and feast on them, leading to a league-best red zone efficiency rate (42.6% TD rate allowed).
The Engine: Bo Nix, The Efficient Conductor. The first-year starter isn’t asked to be Josh Allen. He’s asked to be a maestro of efficiency: 63.4% completion, 25 TDs to 11 INTs, and a league-low bad-throw percentage. His connection with Courtland Sutton (1,017 yards, 7 TDs) provides the explosive downfield element, while check-downs to RJ Harvey keep the chains moving. He doesn’t win the game on his own; he makes sure Denver doesn’t lose it.
The Question Mark: The Ground Game Without Dobbins. The loss of workhorse J.K. Dobbins (772 yards) to a foot injury is monumental. The burden falls on rookie RJ Harvey (540 yards, 7 TDs), a shifty but untested back in this spotlight. Can he handle 20+ carries against a physical front? If Denver becomes one-dimensional, even their defense can be worn down.
The Bottom Line: Denver is a fortress. They are disciplined, ruthless on defense, and mistake-averse on offense. They win by suffocation, not spectacle. But their path to victory narrows if they can’t establish the run.
Buffalo Bills: The Tempest of Will and Talent
The Heartbeat: Josh Allen, The Unstoppable Force. Playing through a litany of injuries (foot, knee, finger), Allen remains the NFL’s ultimate weapon. His stat line from the Wild Card win (273 yards, 2 rush TDs) doesn’t capture his gravity. He is the running game (11 carries, 33 yards, 2 TDs), the deep-threat passer, and the emotional engine. The Bills go as he goes, and right now, he’s dragging them forward. (...)
On Saturday, I'm handing out a 100%, locked-in guaranteed winner for the Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos game. Who wants it? victorypicks.eu

Are any of you into auto racing? Today is the final day of the Chili Bowl, the greatest race that most have never heard of. They raced the last 5 nights to cede 400 cars for today. They start with Q-main at 10am and finish with the A-main at 10pm tonight. If you finish your race at the top 4-6 positions you advance to the back of the next race. It is a dirt race indoors. Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell, both from NASCAR are the favorites, but they compete with family owned teams. FloRacing app has all the coverage for the best $30 you will ever spend. Sorry I am hooked, best entertainment ever.
