Even if the red card didn't happen I'm convinced the Czechs would have won 1-0 anyways. Netherlands allowed them to dictate the game flow from the start.

What an incredible letdown by France. Here they are w Pogba strutting his stuff after his goal, not fully playing to the end. That defense was terrible. And you just knew when it came down to Mbappe needing to make the PK in extra time, there was concern. That look on his face from earlier in the match on missing multiple opportunities would weigh on him , and it did. Where is Benzema or Griezmann when you need them ?
When all was said and done , Pogba was truly impressive in this tournament. One of the best midfielders in the game w great decision making and passing ability. That hopefully won't be overshadowed by his antics following his goal.
It will be a shame that there is no more France to watch.

Terrible round of 16 for me. Largely even for the tournament but hopefully be able to put together a run for the remaining 7 matches. I do think there are some good betting matchups and edges in these...
Italy / Belgium (Munich) - Over 2 +102 (3 units to win 3.06) - This is an interesting formation battle as Italy take their 4 man traditional defense against Belgiums 3 man aging back line. The Belgian wingbacks should keep play wide on the attack - but the Italians have been so good at counter-attacking that the wingbacks of Belgium will be challenged to be all over the field to cover the space behind them when the ball gets turned over. This should leave a lot of outside in space for Italy to attack - and they should know this and be starting players like Chiesa today to take advantage of these wide spaces. I worry about Belgiums ability to defend the speed of Italy. 2-2 after 90
Spain / Switzerland (St Petersburg) - Switzerland +.5 +140 (90 minutes) (3 to win 4.2) - Spain has been getting the goals recently that I thought they wouldn't. But I do think that the Swiss should be able to frustrate the Spaniards by being to defend with less men committed back than Croatia had to - and leave more for the counter attack that Spain is vulnerable to. 1-1 after 90
