Getting a late start to posting given I have only 5 minutes until my next appointment. BUT, there are a few solid games today and I wanted to weigh in on the first of these games pitting Juventus vs. Manchester City. Incredibly, both of these teams have been playing at elite levels despite their own disappointments.
Manchester City has been AWFUL against Juventus, and not just b/c of the Champions League loss last year. Both teams boast rather strong defenses and offenses which leave a lot to be desired. Shocking when you think of how lethal Man City was just two years ago, but gone are some of those same players who provided the service for Haaland to knock those opportunities home. It will take some games for Man City to get the right lineup on the field and Juventus has a new coach meaning a new coaching style which they seem to embrace.
These early games have seen muted scoring and I can't imagine this game doesn't follow that trend. I'm not 100% but I've been pretty solid so I'm comfortable backing:
MANCHESTER CITY/JUVENTUS UNDER 2.5 (-120)
As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...I'll be back a bit later

Yeah this is a really strange game neither team seems to care to get back on defense maybe b/c of the heat but quick loser I literally never lose this quick. Have to say Man City has become a tough team to read I sort of hope they win this game and get far in the tournament b/c that would signal they are back playing like Pep wants them to.
Apologies guys I'll get it back.

@Packman767 Love playing your game both literally and figuratively . I should have listened to my gut and stayed away that game was offensive in both definitions of the word. I do not think Juventus has given up 5 goals vs. an opponent in years and not sure how many games both these teams have played that have seen 7 goals total. So that tells me this was amateur hour and I got sucked in.
But not tonight my friends...I think things might look pricey but to me they are just right. Salzburg has proven to be a tough team, perennial Champions League entrants, but they are a shell of who they used to be. In fact, they got clobbered last CL and I think Real Madrid will be foaming at the mouth at the opportunity to take them out and win their group stage. It will happen and Madrid will score early, something that Xabi Alonson's Bayer Leverkusen made a point of having happen and you saw it in how good they were in the FH's with him at the helm. No way he isn't pushing that same agenda here.
In the other game, Pachuca is out, and they are not very good. I'm not sure how many Al-Hillal can get on them but I'm also not wanting to drop big coin on them and find they lay an egg. If they do, obviously, they will not be moving forward.
AL HILLAL -1 (-140)
REAL MADRID FH (-160)
Sorry guys, I know they are pricey but it's soccer and sometimes you have to drop the price to make the money. Same as last night, you can take an Asian handicap on the goal line at -3/4 to be more safe but that just shows me the real likeliness is RM winning the FH and I'd like the cash after the early debacle. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
