New Jersey is a sovereign state and has the legal right to do as it choose.  The federal government has no authority to deny them sports betting or anything else.  But they do it anyway.  That's what happens when you allow a bureaucratic beast to grow out of control.  Every government is history has turned tyrannical sooner or late.

The NFL isn't stupid nor any of the other leagues.  Their viewership would cut in half if Americans weren't betting on the games.  Especially all those college football games and the NBA.  Who the hell cares about the TWolves at the Sixers but the gamblers lol.

The idea that there is an antiquated federal law prohibiting sports betting and making it a pain in the behind for it to get revoked is a joke and shows how fucked our system is. How is something as trivial as that a federal level thing, but something that actually affects people like happy marriage up until this recent SC ruling a states rights thing? If anything sports betting should be up to individual states. It's frustrating but I think the sports betting is coming around. ESPN mentions lines a lot now. Fox Sports has them listed all the time and UFC shows odds before fights too.

personally i dont read any newspapers i watch as little tv as possible and certainly not an news programmes, its all bullshit, its all propaganda , you might as well be watching jackanory, there plenty of ways of keeping up with the world events wiuthout taking in any MSM, but most of it follows a script so there little need to be worried about keeping up with most events, the script is easy to read imho
