historically fra v rom is a little bit of a derby, some good old ding dongs back in the past, followed by a load of really heavy defeats for romania since the end of communism and the state funding, so romania will be out to put in a good account of themselves here.
romania been getting their house in order recently, losses by 5 pts to tonga and japan in the last 12 months, so they arent rubbish, a lot of wins in the last 24 months.

The top Romanian rugby players died in the 89 Revolution. The state of rugby has never been the same since. Number of clubs and players are way, way down.
It's a real shame they went from being capable of beating anybody including the All Blacks to 40 point dogs against France.

Yea clubs down to 6 which started at 7 at the start of the year. One club went under end of preseason due to greedy money fukers. Next season there's rumours of 2 clubs merging and another club joining the italian competition so the Romanian comp could be in trouble
