Well, what can I say.....I got two things right about the England v. France match, neither of which was the winner. French tactics and the margin of victory.
The French did indeed come out like gangbusters looking for an early edge, especially free-flowing the ball to the outside, which they did. However, I expected England to plug the gaps and force turnover ball, which did not happen very often.
Combine that with stolen line-outs (one early only 5m away from the French line!), missed drop goal attempts, and too many infractions doomed the Roses to a hole they couldn't get out from.

Haha glad I was a wimp...watched the match this morning and man that was brutal...after the first 10 minutes or so it never really seemed like England had a chance.
Oh well, think that helps my New Zealand to win it all bet (which is about 10 times larger than my England bet was here)...don't see Wales or France taking this thing. The semi-finals will really be the finals imo.

Taking Australia myself, purely tailing a guy on another board who called both games last night and has been fantastic all tourney long. He seems to think Aus wins rather handily and that's the only person who's shown any sort of conviction on a match the rest of us feel is a dead heat.
