    Just smashed the English ML.

I am betting on my analysis of this match being correct.  If it is not, then what the %$#@ do I know and I deserve to lose.

    That being said...............

Holy hell bags!  After the Welsh defeat of the Irish, all money is flooding in on the French!

I think that's a good thing for English backers!

Well, what can I say.....I got two things right about the England v. France match, neither of which was the winner.  French tactics and the margin of victory.

The French did indeed come out like gangbusters looking for an early edge, especially free-flowing the ball to the outside, which they did.  However, I expected England to plug the gaps and force turnover ball, which did not happen very often.

Combine that with stolen line-outs (one early only 5m away from the French line!), missed drop goal attempts, and too many infractions doomed the Roses to a hole they couldn't get out from.

"We have to stop asking questions of ourselves now and go for it because the French team plays well when it stops asking questions."

"I lost to [England] in 2003 and 2007, I've had enough of that," said Harinordoquy.

Indeed they do, and indeed he has.  Congratulations to France.

Haha glad I was a wimp...watched the match this morning and man that was brutal...after the first 10 minutes or so it never really seemed like England had a chance.

Oh well, think that helps my New Zealand to win it all bet (which is about 10 times larger than my England bet was here)...don't see Wales or France taking this thing. The semi-finals will really be the finals imo.

Who do you like between Australia and South Africa tonight? Not leaning either way at the moment myself, should be an awesome match though.

Like the South Africans here in a gritty, Unders-type of affair.  Loved the Under in the England v. France match, but since I had that thing pegged at 37 when I did my thoughts out on that one, I didn't see any value there since most books were hovering around that number.

The difference here will be the defence.  South Africa still plays it, Australia gets pushed around by America's B-Team for 18 phases and gets 22 dropped on them by a broken, bruised, and exhausted Russian side.

Make Australia a slight favorite to attract all the favorite bettors and entire them off of South Africa, and that was the cherry on the top to get me over to the Boks.

I think the Boks will make this a slog, with Australia finding it hard to move the ball effectively and giving away too many turnovers, errors, and penalties.

    Boks by 5-10 points here.

Deans has to go after this match blows dead.  He's crap.

Taking Australia myself, purely tailing a guy on another board who called both games last night and has been fantastic all tourney long. He seems to think Aus wins rather handily and that's the only person who's shown any sort of conviction on a match the rest of us feel is a dead heat.

    BOL though

    GL!

The knock-out stages present so many internal and mental factors within teams and players that they are much harder to get an accurate gauge on that the pool stages.  Especially when the comp sets up basically a Six Nations knock-out tourney across from a Tri-Nations knock-out tourney.  Very hard to get the right angle consistently.

Deans should get sacked even if they win the WC.

It's all who is better on the day.  France was complete rubbish for three weeks, but showed up for two hours to beat an energetic, yet frazzled England.

Australia have been getting the piss knocked out of them by the press and pundits....enough so to start doubting their own abilities.  Enough so to allow shithouse Russia to drop a 22-spot on them.

The Boks aren't messing with head games.  I've learned my lesson with the French.  WHEN THE FRENCH SAY THEY ARE READY, THEY ARE READY.

Give me two sides with clear heads and I take Australia 9 of 10 times.

Give me both of these sides tonight and I take South Africa.

I am willing to stand alone on this one and look like an ass.

To be honest most people don't care about Deans or the Wallabies because rugby isn't a big sport down here, the World Cup has hardly rated a mention here and most people don't care if the Wallabies win or lose today

Are you serious?  What is the big sport news then down there?  Surely not the NBL or bloody A-League?  Awesome Rules Football is done as well as the Not Really Legal.

The upcoming Test v. the Indians?

Other nations seem to think that rugby is huge in Australia when in actual fact half the country doesn't even know the Rugby World Cup is on right now

There is more interest in Des Hasler right now then the Rugby World Cup

That's why i laugh sometimes when Americans say 'We would dominate rugby if we played more" when Australia hardly even plays rugby and we have won two World Cups
