Yea i am just glade that a coach has finally come out and had something to say.
U know now that next week when they play the will win the penalty count so he does not come out and do the same thing again.
Also i do remember freddy talking about the sheet they get couple days after the game when he was coach of the chooks. He said they would consistantly lose the penalty count and then the sheet would say oh wait should have been about 50/50.
What does it matter after the game. Get it right during the game.
In that little video did enjoy the call, dont have experiecenced players to milk the penalty.
Straight dig at the Storm, they are cheats and the refs cheat for them, the entire world know it but no way people have the balls to say so

Jason Robinson has always been retarded
I find this ref in particular encites too much aggression in all of his games.
I play in a touch footy comp and one ref in particular, his name is Roger, every time he refs we almost everytime have a blue. Players are always binned, the game has no flow and everyone gets the shits, with him, with the oppostion and with each other.
I remember in one grandfinal I made a touch and jarred my fingers doing it and the guy kept going anyway and scored.
I called touch obviously.
Ref "Did you touch him?"
Me "Yep I got him."
Ref "No you didnt. Its a try, next time I'll sin bin you."
Collective WTF.
I find Robinson has exactly the same impact on every game he referees. He has poor people skills and his bad attitude is easily noticebale just as an everyday viewer on the tv.

Reffing rugby is one of the most difficult chores around. The pace of the game, all the players flying around, and players always trying to infringe, makes it awfully difficult to stay ahead.
I've reffed at the high school level and that was bloody difficult. I can only imagine at the professional level.
Key is to be consistent in the 1st Half so players know what will be blown and what will be let off. Then, the 2nd Half is all about whistling the match in that manner and forcing sides to adjust to you.
I used to not see teams when I reffed. Just players. This made me unable to keep track of which side I whistled most often and also made sure that I was impartial. If the penalty count was lopsided at the end, I was confident game film would show one side constantly deserving more whistles.

Great call. You know what i dont disagree that the game is fast and must be hard to keep up but really some of the dodgy stuff that goes on week to week in the NRL.

When me and my brother first started watching NRL never ever would have thought to say well that game was dodgy or anythink of the sort. But in the last 3 years the game has just gone down hill at a crazy rate.
When was the last time we went a round with a dodgy game? just one round, but will never happen due to betting and the big part it plays in the game now.
Dont get me wrong im not saying that there are fixes all over the place but would be nice to watch an entire weekend of footy and not think after the games are over, well that was fishy and dodgy.
Just a dream really, never going to happen.
Just a side theory, me and my brother have a theory that the reason the storm always get the rub of the green is due were they play. NRL knows that to keep viewers in VIC the storm have to be good and win otherwise lose there market share to AFL. Hence all the good calls. They also have some good players but they never lose a penalty count down there do they???
Just saying if betting agency had an option who would win the penalty count in a storm game and they are at home you could win a small fortune

In a sport where the CEO of the league and the CEO's of various clubs are 'matey' with a range of sportsbooks, regularly attending luncheons and vice versa, we all know the risk. Wouldn't at all be surprised if the refs get a few kick-backs along the way also as they to are part of the 'organization'.
The 'spread fcukery' I've seen of late though is alarming. How many 2nd half penalties did the Sharkies get last week at Fortress Brookvale, a venue where the 'pink ponies' tend to swallow the whistle when it comes to the home team, wasn't it something like 6-0 or 6-1 Cronulla. Never heard a Brooky crowd so irate at the refs. Manly however, has a main sponsor 'Centrebet' and they happened to take just over 312k on Seagles spread bets.
Makes you wonder. Just have to be weary is all if you're gonna continue to gamble on the NRL, still better than union by a country mile...

The only aspect of league which is more keen wagering-wise is the over/unders. The rest, union is easier, IMHO.

Don't let your bullshit get in the way of the facts. He is allowed in the sheds as he has a commercial agreement with the NRL, just like representatives of Harvery Norman, telstra, accor hotels, coke, etc can do the same. However, he was not given access to the Manly rooms as they are sponsored by Centrebet.

The only bets you lose are fixed games or "luck" so they would love your expertise. That way you can find out in advance what the fixed games are and you can make a killing. There are 3 problems with this though. Firstly, you have to take accountability when you are wrong, and we know that will never happen. Secondly, you probably could not price up an event to save your life. And finally, bookmakers don't have an impact on games, despite what what goes on in that friggin delusional head of yours.

Centrebet/Sportingbet wouldn't hold 300,000 on a round of NRL and super rugby combined, let alone 1 team in 1 round

Agree Loz, someone in the 'media department' was a little too excited or fat fingered the keyboard. Would be more like 31k which they still couldn't afford to lose in all honesty.
Regarding the rugby v league debate. Played rugby for the most part of my life still play here in San Diego for one of the 'corporate' clubs with a bunch of ex-pat kiwis, love playing it - hate watching it. It's boring live on the TV. NRL as 'dodgy' as it is, is much more pleasent on the eyes from a spectator standpoint...
