What was ever wrong with a draw? If you can't beat a team inside 80, why should you get another 20 minutes potentially to win the game.
Bringing back the draw would ensure some teams finish the season on an odd number of points. In my opinion, a team that won 12, lost 11 and drew one deserves a finals spot more than another side that gets there on points differential because a Brisbane, for example, got touched up in origin fielding their Toyota Cup side.

My 2 cents:
Scrap golden point / golden try all together.
