OK, fellow hacks, what are some of the ideas in here that could actually be viable?

Example:

Supporter Aidan McLean says he wants golden-point games decided by four-pointers, not solitary field goals. "Golden try - not golden point extra time," he said. "A drop-goal should win you the game at the end of extra time - not immediately."

And this one, which I don't quite agree with, ties into one real good idea that I have. But I'll post that one after a few other postings.

"Season to be reduced to 20 games with no byes. Cheaper food and drink prices and free transport on buses, ferries and trains."

Meanwhile fan Matt Breen likes the "challenge" system Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens first mooted several years ago.

"NFL/tennis style challenges," he wrote. "Each coach gets two or three cards to challenge a call by the ref.

"If correct, he keeps his card, if incorrect, he loses it."

OK, here&#x27;s my idea - I&#x27;m just fishing for some validity.I think it would help if the league would emphasize rivalries.Split the league into 2 divisions with a 22 regular game season schedule so the league can work around Origin with the bye weeks. That way we won&#x27;t be watching a bunch of benchers and juniors during  the Origin weeks.* teams travel with their rival - explain later       North / City Division1. North Queensland2. Brisbane3. Gold Coast4. Newcastle5. Sydney Roosters6. Souths7. Manly8. West Tigers     South / Sub  Division      (Sub = Suburb)1. Penrith2. Parramatta3. New Zealand4. Canberra5. St. George6. Cronulla7. Canterbury8. Melbournea. Every team plays a round robin schedule within their division and every club from the opposite division once = 22 matches.b. Every team ends their season playing their rival/traveling club and plays them the 1-2 weeks before the 1st State of Origin

The only way that would work if each half was limited to 2 video ref replays, called only by the teams, instead of sitting through the video ref on every other try, which is what happens now.

"Scrap the second Friday night game and have a game on Saturday afternoon," he wrote.

"City-Country to be played before the season kick-off.
