Scoreline flattered Manly. They would struggle to beat many above them.

    New Zealand ml @ $1.71 (3) =

    Newcastle (-10.5) @ $1.91 (4) =

How many times do I drag New Zealand out of the sack book and back them?

    Newcastle?....... chop their legs off.

To get beaten AT HOME by Parramatta is unacceptable. Brian Smith was worried all week long, and he was right.

Knights were hopeless. imo its a tragedy, there is no logic to it. maybe it was the loss they had to have.

to step against the dogs last week and then perform like that....

Titans may become a rare victim of the roosters next weekend.

looks like a very light week at training coming up for this battered and bruised side

Aussies knocked out of the 20/20 Plod Cup already

Roy must be sitting at home enjoying a few beers laughing at them

This Aussie team is soft, going to be a embarrasment when Clarke is the captain,he is a pin up pretty boy who is not respected by his peers, there is no toughness left in this Aussie team

    Alan Border -
    Mark Taylor -
    Steve Waugh -
    Ricky Ponting -

Crashing out of the world cup of SLOG is a blow to Australia's Ashes campaign imo.

They're gonna have a tonne of time now to just cool their heels and practise and think about the upcoming series, and that's not a good thing for THIS squad imo.

Come on mate you're aware of their poor record without stewart to start this season and you've decided to back'em at -12 which they covered and yet u come up with this comment  as a knights supporter u should know well how difficult it is for a team without their key player on the field. Didn't you also back'em against the titans at skilled two weeks ago? wouldn't u say that it was a bad call by the ref that cost them the game. We can start criticising eachother's teams but come on wtf is that all about? u prefer if they won by 6? there were plenty of good signs from the chooks, it was a good win after the slow start.

Your opinion guys but after reading this i had to respond, they had a decent game and steadily climbing off the bottom of the table. Your comments just baffles me, normally people criticise the team that they lose their bets with. OK you guys hate manly, fair enough, but u back'em for a win and get paid but no no no let's not give the roosters any credit, should of been 56-0 after coming off 98-0 in the last two. They both sit 11th and 15th on the table coming into the game, wouldn't it be fair to say it is expected for both sides to play without the greatest confidence.

    That's my opinion.

jd, I didn't bag Manly. I said that the scoreline, in my opinion, flattered them. I don't think they were a 20 point better side than the Roosters. I still believe that.

Yes, the Roosters showed some improvement from previous weeks. Yes they threw the ball around. Good for them. Yes, I also backed Manly less the start and I'm thrilled that they won. Yes, I backed them against the Titans and still think they got robbed at the death.

Point is, all I said was that I think the game was closer than the scoreline suggested, and that in my opinion, they would stuggle to beat many above them on the ladder at the moment.

I'm not sure how you construe my comment as hate of Manly, or bagging someone else's team. Newcastle played like shit on Sunday. The Tigers and Broncos played like shit on Friday, and the Warriors have played like shit for weeks. That isn't bagging, it is making an observation.

I don't think I'm bagging JT or morbes sides when I say that.

I know what it's like to be a supporter of a side mate.

Mate u've made a comment about a team that is outside the 8 and 5 wins for the season. Wouldn't it be fair to say it's obvious they'll struggle against many above them?

Just responding to ur observation on a team that actually got the job done in the end, like i said as of now we're not a top 8 side and it's obvious that we're doing it tough. I know it's ur thread and your opinion but as a supporter I found it as harsh critisism. I clearly understand what u mean by the scoreline, roosters played well enough to keep it close but not for the full 80mins, manly exposed that and earned the 20 point win which is a relief for me as a supporter.

All good mate, just responding as we were both barracking for a manly win that night. In my point of view i found the comments unneccessary on what's obvious, it's always easy to critisise on teams that are struggling. If u made the comment because u took the line of -12 and expected the eagles to play on last year's form, well done on the win, they were 2 from 5 coming into the game.
