Improved Lions performance but Blues by 10
They may be the weakest franchise in NZ but they have the benefit of catching the Lions early on while they still have their full compliment of internationals and the Lions haven’t built that playing relationship

Blues +6.5 @ 9/10.
Blues over 21.5 pts @ 8/10.

I think Lions will be much improved but fancy Blues to push them all the way.

An angle I like for the Lions Blues game concerns the ref Pascal Gauzere. He is a ref who is always involved in the game and does not allow a game to flow. If u watched the recent top 14 semi between La Rochelle & Toulon you will know what I mean. He awarded 19 penalties which I think I recall that number to be somewhere near his average.
So I will be having a wee interest in over 3.5 penalties @ 4/6 with bet 365.
The Lions will defo kick for the posts given the opportunity & with Halfpenny in the team they should be converted. The Blues have also tended to kick for the posts particularly in the first half albeit they usually have Francis at 10

Lions to win by 6 points or more.This is the third game in just 12 days for the Blues.Lions freshness and superior bench will show in the end.

Yeh probably take parra in this one as long as thurston doesn't play. If thurston plays then probably take cowboys. it will be good conditions for footy up in Darwin so the over 38.5 should be  winner. As for Blues vs Lions i'll take my chances with the Lions to win

I see the outright market for B & Irish Lions to lose against Hurricanes, Maori, Highlanders, Crusaders and Chiefs has come down a bit to 33/1

can this happen..

Right now most books have their main handicap line at 6.5 so the biggest current plus would make some appeal on price alone. I would say 2016 form also lends itself to a plus bet and whilst to me France did no better than ok in the Six Nations, they ran England close at Twickenham. My initial thought was the plus however the teams news shows wholesale changes in the French line up, the Boks will be desperate to get 2017 off on a positive note and preference is now for the minus

Bet: 3 units, South Africa -6.5 points


The blues coasted home mid week and I can't see how this crusaders team can be beat , all over them at minus 3.5 for my maximum. agree this lions team should get better but i think gatland is the main problem here
