The SuperContest at the Westgate LV Superbook is a big deal for football bettors and fans alike - that’s right, the contest is now big enough that there are people who simply enjoy it without participating. Similar to the World Series of Poker, there are people who keep tabs on the participants as they race for a continuously growing prize pool.
Last year they awarded more than $914,000 to the winner.
Five years ago the Westgate decided to kick off football season with SuperContest weekend and this has quickly become a great excuse to visit Las Vegas. It's also a convenient time to sign up for the SuperContest. SuperContest weekend is a great time to meet sports bettors from all walks of life. SuperContest weekend is now in its 5th year and has become an annual sports bettor hang in Las Vegas. This year, SuperContest weekend takes place on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27. The main event of SuperContest weekend actually takes place on the first evening with a reception and the free Super Seminar.
The Super Seminar begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 26 and will feature some of the top names in the sports gaming business. Guests for the Super Seminar will be announced shortly before the event takes place.
The weekend will conclude with a golf outing at Las Vegas Country Club. Registration is $110 per player and begins at noon on Saturday, August 27. Your registration includes a box lunch, five raffle tickets, dinner reception and the chance to win great prizes, including a free SuperContest entry (a $1,500 value).
The golf outing isn’t the only way to win a free entry to the SuperContest. Raffle tickets for free entries will take place all weekend long
- Each entry into the SuperContest prior to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, will earn 10 raffle tickets. You may only pay to enter the contest twice so there’s a maximum of 20 raffle tickets through this method.
- Place a $20 Football future wager (Officially defined by “Odds to Win”) prior to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 27. You'll receive one raffle ticket per qualifying wager.
- Second Chance Baseball Wagers - Customers with losing $20 Baseball Parlays (2-team minimum) can receive one raffle ticket per qualifying wager prior to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 27.
- Second Chance Pari-Mutuel Wagers - Customers with losing Pari-Mutuel wagers that total $50 or more per day prior to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 can receive one raffle ticket per qualifying wager day.

Ottawa got a raw deal playing 4 games in 17 days, now off a 10 day layoff, I'll take that bet and take a shot on a rested hungry Ottawa coming off a loss against Winnipeg without their best WR Dressler and coming off an improbable last second win. Winnipeg has given up 85 points in the last 2 games.
Taking in consideration a weak Eastern Division, I'll take a shot Ottawa to be close at the end @ +1200 @B365 .... I think there's good value here to at least hedge at the end if needed, definitely worth a shot in my opinion.
