Do any of these have a shot to win this thing? I am thinking about throwing a unit on all 3. Let me know your thoughts. thing is oen good week and al of a sudden their odds will jump to +400 or so, then you can go the other way or whatever you feel like.

guys betting on ace or paris or any of them you mentioned is throwing your money away. the only people with a shot in hell are chris, katharine, mandisa and taylor. more than likely, you can cross off mandisa and taylor of that list. i dont care what the odds are , you guys are throwing money away

noone finds it odd that Taylor has 140,000 more posts then the next closest contestant on the official American Idol msg brd? I am curious to see how Chris turns country week into the exact same song he has sung for the last 28 weeks in a row. YoungOne why are you always so emphatic in your picks in the entertainment field (and more often then not so wrong)?

Taylor got a nice plug from the cute actress from the office\slither when Ryan Seacrest was on the Tonight Show last night. Said she was part of the Soul Patrol (Taylor groupies). That should dispel some thoughts that young women don't like Taylor.

nothing wrong with being wrong, all of us are many times when it comes to the world of gambling but maybe you should drop the "guaranteed money" tag you always put on your picks when in contests like this there is anything but guaranteed money. havent seen your other picks, just know you had a bad grammys and oscars with "guaranteed money". as far as slither goes its been getting great reviews and that girl on the tonite show was too cute so I will probably go check it out.

Chris Daughtry is gonna win folks, it was already decided behind the scenes. They want something new this year, a male with a little rock flavor. The kid's ready to be make an album right now. Taylor, Elliot, Katherine, and Paris are all very talented too.....but Chris is already been deemed the winner (if you really think America decides who wins your very naive).

In most cases of reality shows your right Urdaddy but in the case of American Idol the producers can only try to influence who wins, mainly in the initial cuts made before phone in voting begins, and to a smaller extent after. But in the end America is exactly who decides the winner and Chris's singing the same crap every week is getting old for a large part of the voting public. If you are suggesting that they dont really count the votes and just pick a winner then thats laughable, this is a gold mine for them and they would never risk losing it all if a voting scandal of that type came out.

Think what you want Blue, but I know for a fact that America's votes don't determine who wins the show. Answer me this, if America voted through Bucky as the winner do you honestly think they would invest millions in marketing and everything to make him an album when they know he'd suck? Dude they are playing the American public like a fiddle. Watch the show and vote if you want, but it has no friggin bearing on what happens.

Possibly the greatest Covers thread of all time. Vanzack - dude, dude, Ace doesn't have the pipes man. waddup dogpound? Seriously though, AI is going to push for a guy this year. Usually the way the voting works is the weak ones get voted off right off the top. The ones that simply suck. Then you need to look at the contestants in groups of 2. 2 white chicks. 2 rocker guys. 2 black chicks. etc. Once you've done that, then you can determine how the demographic is going to choose between one Rock-n-roll guy, or the other. Because there is no way 2 of the same type of person is going to make it to the final 4. For instance, if 10mm people vote for Chris Daughtry, are there another 10mm to support another very similar singer like Ace? Probably not, so it's one or the other. Then you have to look at the way AI is positioning these guys. Ace going first and getting shat on by the judges. Chris goes last and takes the cake and receives praise. That's where the clue to victory are. The treatment of these singers by the judges, lineup order, etc, will eventually determine which of the "pairings" moves on to represent their demographic. As I get even more gay... Last year a similar thing happened w/ Constantine (an Ace type guy), and the guy that eventually came in second. Both were fighting for the same demographic, and eventually the better singer won. The bottomline... In my opinion, Elliot has the best voice of anyone on the show....but he's lacking the image factor. Plus, if you read my posts they want the rocker to win this year......I'm telling you all....bet Daughtry if you wanna win money.
