No Vince Young = No Passing ability on a consistent basis in this game with a lame Texans Defense that leads the league in points allowed.

Since they will be without Young they are forced to slim the playbook down and run more often. Being predictable is too much an advantage in the NFL.

Houston gets a bragging rights win here to add to their earlier win over the Colts. Enjoy em Houston. No Playoffs this season.

    Houston-7(+105) sounds good to me.

Houston was robbed last week - they're a much better team than their 4-6 record shows. Now, the Titans - with V.Y. out, they have to choose between gimpy journeyman Collins and Rusty (Who?) Smith? You can only hand the ball off to Chris Johnson so many times, and Mario Williams will be squashing that every single down. Plus I'm sure the calming presence of Randy Moss is at least making the locker room a tighter knit unit right now.....

    Please - Texans in a blowout - 6.5 is a gift

And you know this how?  Did you watch him play in college?  Cuzz i know u cant get a full account of a guy from 1 qtr. of football.  And besides that- he can't be that bad because #1- he made it to the NFL and #2- his 2nd NFL pass happened to be a TD pass to Moss that was nullified on a penalty.  Who knows- this kid may be better than the 2 lame qb's they've been dealing with in outdated Collins and immature Young.

6.5 pts is way too much to give a squad like the Titans who usually beat the Texans if u look at history of this divisional matchup which will also point out that they play a close game as well.

    Tennessee - 23                                   Houston - 20

    Titans +6.5                                 under 45

Fisher's a good coach he will have the Titans ready. Vince watching this on TV might be just what the doctor ordered for this club.

    Titans - Under

There is too much of a soap opera going on with the Titans with a new qb trying to get the starring role spells trouble...I like the Texans to take the lead early....

    Houston at the half -3.5

Aloha and good luck to all

Taking the under here.  Titans will play tough on defense and struggle on offense.

Will the Texans find a way to pull defeat from the jaws of victory yet again? Maybe not but I'm hoping for a 3,4 pt game either way -- TITANS +6 & VER 46.5

Boith teams have elite RB's and field equal run defenses by the numbers.  What's the best thing a 3rd stringer can hope to see?  The Texans pass defense.  I watched Rivers and San Diego tear through it with almost none of their starting receivers and no Gates.  It was Crayton and a rookie and they lit them up for the win still.  Yes, Rusty Smith is no Rivers.  lol   However, if you look at the last 3 games for these teams, the only thing worse than a Texan's pass defense is the Titans pass defense.  Both are averaging over 300 passing yards on defense per game.

So now that the run game is even and both pass defenses are pretty bad...you have to look at who's pulling the trigger.  I'd take Shaub over Rusty Smith any day of the week and twice on Sunday.  Also factoring the Titans drama and playing in Houston...the Texans get the nod in the intangibles department.  However, is that worth handing out 6.5 points with this poor Texans defense that can't stop anyone to close a game?   In this one case I'd have to say yes.  Small play Texans.

I'd have to imagine the Texans game plan is to bring the heat to stop the run and highly pressure the passer.  Which may not bode too well for Smith.  Then again it may result in big plays for the Titans and Moss if the line can hold up.   Honestly, the Texans better double cover Moss all day...whatever they need to do as there's no way they can stop him one-on-one.  lol   Which as a result leaves a safety not playing Chris Johnson and the run.   Should be interesting, yet I'd never lay money on a 3rd string QB without a stout defense of my own.

Houston has too much fire power in this spot.  They have to win this game, and it's at home.  I like Houston to really roll here!
