In a division where the division winner will enter the playoffs with a losing record, one must believe anyone can win. The 49 ers sit 1 game behind both St. Louis and Seattle, at 5-9. There is no doubt in my mind with game # 17 next week @ home against Arizona, this contest is THE SEASON.  Currently ,San Fran has the best division record @ 3-1.  If  they capture this game and the Seahawks lose on the road at TB, there will be a 3 way logjam at the top. Wk# 17 pits Seattle vs. St Louis, where only one advances. The 49ers have already split with Seattle. SF has already beaten STL.  Even if Seattle prevailed in the last game, San Fran would have a commanding 4 - 1 division record , without playing "Zona. So the early season prophecy will come true, that San Fran is in the playoffs! So this is my major wager of the week!

Rivers smoked this inept San Fran secondary just think what 3065 yard season Sam Bradford will do.  It will be a roudy St Louis crowd with the division on the line.  Give me Bradford over WTF's his name Smith any day.  This is the Rams chance to go a game up because Seattle will not win at Tampa. jmho

I think I'll go with SF this game.  They control their destiny for the playoff but will lose on the wildcard game against the #3 seeded team (???). By the way, SF beat them already on the first meet. They got their number.....good luck.  SF for the win (by a nail bitter)

THEY really have their number alright they just killed them at San Fran 23-20 and were really fortunate to pull out that victory now they are playing at St Louis.  Unless San Fran plays 200% better than they did at San Diego they will get their lunch handed to them Sunday with Bradford throwing all over the place.

THEY really have their number alright they just killed them at San Fran 23-20 and were really fortunate to pull out that victory now they are playing at St Louis.  Unless San Fran plays 200% better than they did at San Diego they will get their lunch handed to them Sunday with Bradford throwing all over the place.

Other than Sam Bradford, this is still the inept St. Louis Lambs that will be meeting the 49 ers this Sunday. With an extra day to prepare and get healty, Singletary has announced that  Troy Smith as the starter. Word is the team is extremely motivated because they have a real chance here if they win both this week and next, they'll be division champs. But if they lose-then their season is over!  Having beat the Rams in SF, we know that they match up well against them.  It's simply unrealistic to compare the Rams to the Chargers, and expecting to administer the same ass whooping on the Niners.

    SAN FRANCISCO  + 1.5

I like the Rams here to keep on top the division and hold off San Fran and Seattle. Rams are banking on Seatle to lose to Tampa and if they beat the niners its smoother sailing

Rams in a close on  -1.5

My prediction - 49ers win a hard fought close game this week on the road to the Rams, but then get blown out next week at home by the Cardinals!!!

No, really though, the 49ers are absolutely crap on the road - they've beaten one team, the Cardinals. Heck, even the Panthers beat them. I just see a Stephen Jackson clinic in this game. It should be a close game, and I may buy that 1 point hook, just so I don't lose by .5 a point (it happens more often that you think). But I gotta go Lambs in this one.

    San Francisco - 17                        St Louis - 14

    49ers +1.5                               under 40

Rams taking a late season nose dive. Niners have done well vs this club. (9-2 ats last 11)   (5-1 ats last 6 in the Show me state)

    Niners - Under

SF +1: could go either way, but i like SF's  chances in coming away with the SU win with Troy at the helm. Score: Forty-Niners 21-Rams 20.

buncha squares on the niners here. Niners are hot garbage and some of you clowns have been backing them all year.

Give me the rams in a must win game at home. Control from beginning to end.

Sfran doesnt know their own own identity or what qb to start each week. They have been overrated all year in terms of lines. This one should be -3. end this for their sake!! St. Louis for the small.

You can't keep changing QB's back and forth and expect success in the NFL.  It just doesn't work in the long run and it certainly shouldn't work on the road, with a 5-9 record against a team that has it's starting RB healthy and knows it has it's future qB behind center.  I like the Rams here.....but I could see SF playing inspired.  I'll put this one in a small parlay.  Maybe with Washington and Tampa??  Rams just feel right here.
