idk after that monday loss niners still funky and kansas city is spunky. two demonstrative coaches ought to have thier teams pumped up. went against kc last week after banking them the week before?????????????????? niners on the road arent the niners of old. Frank Gore is good. A. Smith not so good. M. Cassell not so good. chiefs at home good. i really dont think sf can lose another but????????????????

In the book The Art of War, by Sun Tzu, there is a quote that implies "If you give your army no means to retreat, they will fight better, even unto death." This is the case for the 49ers now. At 0-2 they will be fighting for their hope of a 2010 season playoff spot. I feel that with a bye week coming up for the Chiefs and a 2-0 record in thier pocket, we might no get the best from them compared to the Niners. I do not see a line for this game at my online books yet but Covers is showing SF-1 so I'll go with that.

My Guesstimate = San Francisco-20 Kansas City-13

I like KC in this spot. SF on the road, coming off a tough loss to New Orleans. I think this is a close defense game and KC edges them out. Under is also worth a look.

KC just isn't a very good football team.  SF might not be where they need to be to win in the playoffs they are far supperior to KC.

I like the 49ers as well

SF coming off a tough loss, short week, and playing in a hostile environment giving points?  Doesn't seem like a recipe for success.  SF will be desperate for a win, but my money is on KC.  Good luck. 

Granted that there will be no SF injuries or off-the-field issues, I think SF would be my best play for week 3.

Oh yea, not only they had a tough loss and ended up with 0-2, I truly think the 49ers have a much better squad all around vs the Chiefs.

I'd like to hear from KC backers though.

SF should take this.  and the under looks good too. Brees didnt have a great game, and I dont see Cassel doing any better.  So run run run for KC chewing clock, and if SF can keep the TOs down, they should cover.

This will be a defensive battle, both teams a have STRONG defense. Still don't trust Alex Smith on the road, he hasn't proven to be a winner in this spot yet. But under will be my play.
