SD is +3 and the titans win another one

Short week and both teams still very motivated (SD for 1st round bye and Tenn for ever-growing promise of wildcard). SD has Washington at home in final week, but wants to get the bye right here...so not sure if SD may have a little look ahead and shut down early if, and it's a big if, Tenn has a big lead into 4th Q.

Both teams in upper half of league in defense not giving up runs of greater than 20. I think both teams will showcase RBs on national TV and run the clock. Smash-mouth and intensive games along the lines, all meaning the clock will run quickly.

Final Tenn 17, SD 16. No side play, but play on the under 47.

 

San Diego getting the three? Sounds a little fishy to me. Vegas might know something we dont.  Early lean is Chargers, wait till late Thursday to get my early Christmas present!

better call in your chargers bets while the line is still high... this can very well be a pkem by kickoff....

Initial lean is on the Chargers, especially becuase they are getting points and Tennessee defense is banged up....

but this line scares the crap outta me.... why are the chargers getting 3 points after they won 8 straight....

matchups point to san diego as well....

their December record is also something to consider...

both are outdoor teams so this should be a close game...

probably going to take the points but it looks like a trap...

Leaning towards the Titans at home. Chargers run defense ranked 26th against the run and the Titans have.......well, you know who they have running the ball. Titans and under for me.

And the last time the Titans defeated the Chargers was in 1992, they were the Oilers back then. It's been quite awhile....

Titans defense ranked 31st against the pass, Chargers defense ranked 26th against the run.

Titans run offense ranked 2nd, Chargers Pass offense ranked 5th.

San Diego and Tennessee are #1 and #3 respectively in field goals made and both place kickers can hit from 50.  Both punters can put it inside the 20.

San Diego holds an edge in turnover differential +7 to -1...



This may come down to whose defense is on the field longer and if that's the case you have to give the edge to Tennessee and the running game.

don't get me wrong, the titans are too sick. but sd is the smarter bet. yes the titans need this win, yes the titans got it done lately, but no they will not beat a team who is capable of beating indi. my play is sd -3

TEN -3: the Bolts are the better team but all the emotion will be with the Titans at home. A basically meaningless game for San Diego, the Titans need to win to get into the playoffs. The Public is pounding the Bolts like they already know the score.  The warm weather team playing in the cold with a hostile crowd and already with a ticket to the dance, i'll go with Titans. Score: Titans 28-Chargers 24 (4 units).

Tough call this game, but im thinking the titans need this more than the chargers. The titans are going to be physical and im thinking the chargers will not want to get any injuries like in previous times these teams have met, since the chargers are already in the playoffs. So i think i'll side with the titans, though im still very concerned about the aerial threat of the chargers, the titans need to control the clock.

can anyone explain to me why the chargers are getting points?  i know they are traveling to the east coast an all but i just dont get this.. the easy pick is the chargers and its really tough to take the titans here.. the public usually loses so ill say titans.. someone please convince me to take the chargers
