I like the logic Quad and look at it this way- Palmer will through at least two picks according to his stats. So even if Rivers screws the pooch things should still be alright. And SD has dominated in Oakland. So no homefield advantage really.

If the O-line can give the backfield some protection the Chargers should have no problem producing a win. Chargers D is what concerns me tho and is why i think the line is so close. Great first week match-up.

You guys are funny...when was the last time Norv and Rivers won an opening day game??  They inherently blow it year after year on opening day...and usually go on to lose a few before they pull their head out of their asses and go on some sort of streak to barely make (or miss) the playoffs.

I'm starting to lean oak. I mean I know it's preseason but rivers went for 1 td and 4 ints I mean shouldn't you be at least decent for a top qb I know he's not a elite qb but damn. Ok so you lost Vincent Jackson and Ryan Mathews is beat up but damn they look horrible . I can't count the times he had a chance last year and blew it as the clock expired or threw to many ints he couldn't come back from it . It's not always the mistakes you make but when you make them. Games on the line oh hey opposing team here take the ball god knows my defense won't stop ya . Sorry that's how I feel about chargers. So I will be taking  oak at home until chargers show me some life .

Chargers is going through a big changes on there offense, there defense is soft.  Philip Rivers cant do it all, Chargers also got a rookie left tackle which got signed last week protecting rivers, a big no no and runner back Ronnie brown?! who the hell is Ronnie Brown?
