Since I am a huge Giants fan, I hate to say it, but I am with you.

If anyone wants to put down a futures play, the Giants repeating as Superbowl champs is a very nice play.  It would be very ironic if Kerry Collins faces the Giants and pukes all over the place like he did for the Giants when they got throttled in the Big Bowl by the Ravens.  Wait until after next week to get better odds.  They squeak by this week and get beat on the road by Dallas next week.

Even if Westbrook plays I doubt he'll be 100%.
Since he is a large majority of their offense I'll take the Giants -7

Which McNasty will show up for this game?  The one who sucked ass all year or the one who trounced the Cards last week?  Early lean to the Giants -7, but likely a large play on the over.  Weather aside, if Philly plays anything like they did last week this should go over easily.

I like the Giants in this battle of the NFC East teams.

The Giants have shown, week after week, that they control both sides of the line.

The Eagles, while impressive in their win against the Cardinals, are still struggling to find any momentum to mount a play-off run.

Unfortunately, Donovan will run straight into the Giants blitz if Westwood doesn't bring his A-game.

Eli has been reliable,  moving this consistently dominant offense effectively with the help from Jacobs.

I will take the G-men, laying 6 1/2 points for a small play.

They should be able to cover a TD.

Big play on the over, and a smaller play on Philly.  Again, a team with thier backs against the wall, with weapons all over the field.  Think about this........If Philly wins this game, then beats Clevland at home on Monday night next week, they would be 8-5-1.  Dallas loses today at Pit and gets beat next week by the Giants........8-6.......Philly could be in second place 9 days from now???  If Atlanta loses today to the Saints, like I think they will, then they would have to beat Tampa Bay next week to keep the 6th wild card spot in thier hands and not let it slip to Philly with two weeks left to play.

And all that doesn't matter a hill of beans if the G-men do what they have been doing to Philly for the last 6 or seven games.

Playing the Cardinal defense was just what the doctor ordered for Donovan on Thanksgiving.  He received an injection of confidence, and it will carry over into this game.  Will it be enough to lead the Eagles to victory?  That is the question.  But either way,  this game will be decided by 4 or less.

Eagles +6.5 (5 units) and ML +240 (2 units) vs. Giants - more of a hunch play than anything as the Eagles are obviously the more desperate team here.  I don't think the Giants will have any problem coping with the Plaxico distraction.  They seem used to not playing with their "stars" (aka Shockey last year, Plax a few times this year, Osi injured, Jacobs a handful of times).  New York boasts one of the best running attacks and the Eagles defense will have to shut them down first and foremost.  Brian Dawkins and Asante Samuel with both get INTs today, put it on the board.  McNabb knows his job is on the line, just like last week, so he needs to perform exceptionally well.  The Giants have a HUGE matchup next week in Dallas, although I doubt some of their players are looking ahead but you never know.

Didnt do too hot yesterday, but didnt crash and burn either.

Looking for some dogs today to save the weekend.

Going with the desperate eagles at +7.

Plaxico turns out to be more of a distraction than the NY media and Coughlin thought.

Preface: I'm a huge Giants fan.

One of the reasons i think Coughlin is the coach of the year (he definitely won't win) is because every single week I think in the back of my head the Giants are due for a letdown - they come out and kill it.  For a team coming off the superbowl to never have letdowns (cleveland, yada yada) is pretty impressive.

Irisheyez, as a lifelong Eagle fan I love the big dreams in your post man, but I'm apt to agree with those who think the Eagles will come back down to earth.

Thanksgiving was nice.  The Cardinals were the perfect Turkey Day gift for a struggling Donovan and an organization on the decline.

And who knows?  Maybe they do what they did last year and start playing good football at the 11th hour?

But as a guy who's been following this franchise for years, it's not to feel as if the end is nigh for this particular group of Eagle players and coaches.

I believe Carlito is right re. his analysis at the line of scrimmage in this gaem.

Also, I believe there is absolutely NO creedence to the argument that the Giants will be distracted in this game.  If anything, that organization just breathed a huge, albeit sad, sigh of relief.

Eventually, the cancer has to come out.  And obviously, a guy like Plaxico, for whom playing football in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl and having a shot at yet another one isn't enough, was obviously becoming a cancer to that team.  He's been a head-case for years and this almost feels like something he wanted to have happen.

But to the point, the Giants have proven to be unbelievably mentally sound going all the way back to just before their playoff run.  Look at their record in that time for God Sakes!

It's just tough for me to imagine them having a mental lapse against a team who they know is going to be physical and can be trouble for them.

And let's not forget, the Giants can clinch today guys.

They can clinch the division and a first round bye.

    They'll be ready.

And besides, the Eagles are 6-5-1 for a reason.

As much as it pains me, Giants by 10 in this one, if it's even that close.
