The Eagles will be going back to Kevin Kolb this week as they travel to the Jags place as a PHI-3 raod fav. Personally I am shocked that Philly is a fav let alone a -3 fav in this game. I know the Jags have had their problems but the Eagles are 0-2 SU and ATS vs the Jags and were favorites BOTH times. I'll jump on the home dogs here and take the Jags+3(-120) pts. The Eagles have never fared well vs the AFC and especially vs the AFC South teams(with the exception of Houston-an expantion team). I'll gladly take the home dog here and watch as Kevin Kolb gets smoked by the Jags defense. If Vick comes into the game to replace Kolb it might swing things the Eagles way but barring an injury I feel that Reid is committed to having Kolb get this game under his belt. That is good enough for me to back the Jags... and I have been an Eagles fan for a long, long time now.

Thanks... Well, ole Andy Reid is quite the bullshit artist isn't he. He was swearing by Kolb yesterday.

Believe it or not, I like Vick and the Eagles to win it this Sunday.  I hope they cover

I don't usually post, but it wasn't Reid's bullshit, t'was brass/ownership trumping his call.  Reid already proclaimed Kolb as starter even as early on game day this past Sunday... now he's suddenly addressing America about the politically correct thing to do, giving 2nd chances and paying dues to society yada yada yada.

This is all great...and sounds like a PR move.  But... from a game stand point, it's the right move.  Vick stands a better chance of negotiating and making decisions on the fly behind a weak offensive line... so to me, the positive offsets that negative... whereby I don't think Kolb would stand a chance in this position (if anything, maybe him starting would land him another concussion sadly).  The Vick factor alone should be able to break any perceived stalemate in this one.    

So the Vick change is a PR move made by those above Reid... and strategically, it's the right one.  I'm sure he's content both ways.  Just my silly 2 cents.  Thanks.

i think the jags show up here wouldnt at all be surprised to see them win ouright where at home they are a different team i think jones-drew has a very good day and garrard will look to rebound from a horrible day in san diego jags + 3.0 is my play.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if you hit the score of this game perfectly.

the move was made because this is a perfect cover for giving kolb more time to develop WHILE giving the eagles the best chance to win this year.  Kolb is still young and reid would love to have more time to develop.

Another thing that Reid kind of dodged in the press conference is that the offensive line play has been shoddy which makes it harder on a slow footed pocket passer, but can easily be masked by an elite scrambler like vick.

Phi -3  (1unit): It's confirmed Vick is the starting QB, and whether you agree or not, the added run/pass threat should be enough to overcome the Jags. The final margin will most likely be double digits again.
