Jax is quietly one of the best teams ATS in the league.  At home with a west coast team coming off a huge high last week and traveling to the east coast for a 9 am kickoff by their time.........and Oakland being a yo yo team.....up and down!!  Lot's of youth and not the greatest of QB play.....I'll lay the points here and take my chances. 

I agree Irisheyez, Jax has been a cover machine lately and now you have a west coast team traveling east for an early kickoff.  Jax may be my biggest play of the week.  Good luck.

Does anyone not see the Raiders getting the snot beat out of 'em? Just look at last week's game against the Chargers - the Raiders beat them down because the Chargers can't run, but they still had 265 yards passing. 

But what does Jax have? MJD, and Jennings, and they're all about the run - plus Oakland will have the letdown factor, and travelling across the country.

I think this will be a Jacksonville beatdown

   I agree with Irish Eyes that the Raiders tend to be a yo-yo type of team. However, this season they are starting to get it together with the ability to string 2 or 3 covers together. As always, the Jags are a "dicey" proposition as home favorites. Taking my chances- I'll take the points!

Tough game to predict. Oakland coming off a huge win should give them confidence and motivation knowing they could still catch up with KC. The cross country travel is a big minus. It might all come down to the coin toss. If the Raiders get the ball first and either score on the first possession or gain good field position to score before the Jaguars put points on the board they could run run run to cover even if they might loose a close game.

So the team that scores 2 more points a game and gives up 3 less is a 5pt dog? I'm taking Oakland plus the pts here

JAC cover the minus 4.5......They will win by double digits.

Oakland+4 to be safe ...Raiders wont even need the points

Tom Cable stated that the team has had no success winning in the east so I think they might step up....the over is the safe play..the raiders just ko'd andre the giant now you have to finish off chief j strongbow!,,,dont choke oakland!

Local radio says Raiders have been practicing at 6 am to get ready for the time swing.  See what happens. . .?

the jags T.E  marcedes lewis dislocated his thumb at thursdays practice and the other T.E did not practice thursday and was seen wearing a boot on his right foot; i like what okland did last week in beeting san diego, pounding michael bush and derren mcfadden. jacksonvill seems to fall apart at the end of every sesson and the raiders could cautch the jags looking ahead to next week when they play indy. raders-31 jags-24;;;; feed the dog;;;;

 

I like the Raiders and the points here.  Raiders may win this outright.  I know Jags have a nice record but still not blown away by this team

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis said on his Twitter account that he dislocated his thumb at practice Thursday. "I'm great guys --.the thumb will not be an issue -- just annoying."

Still hesitant to make the call on this one but I'll stick with fading any west coast team with a 1:00 start on the EC.

 

Sooner or later a team drops a game ATS it just happens, plus I like the -- RAIDERS +3.5 & VER 42

Look at the 2 teams they lost too...Tenn. was on top of their game and Pit...Jags are NEITHER team. Its a 10am (start- body time) for them,-team is young so they dont sleep anyway, weather is not a factor- They are 6-6 and can see a possible p/o spot...4.5 spread has been the kiss of death for Vegas-

Campbell is not that bad (did i just say that)..but Jags only have MJD...take the points--

With only 4 games left in the schedule i think any team that has a shot at post season e.g. Oakland that you can throw out all the west to east team playing at what ever time.  It now becomes we have to win or go home for the playoffs.  If you have ever played sports you start running on adrenline and for Oakland its do or die.  The same goes for Jax they lose they are tied with the Colts and have to go to Indy next week.   This should be a tight field goal type of game.  I'll take the points and  to the end.

jacksonville 31 - raiders 19. jacksonville i liken to the bears this season. a better than average team with thier focus in the right place. oakland has certainly had their problems going east bound. seems obvious to me but so did indy on thursday and we all know what happened there. goodluck everyone.
