I wouldn't play either one of these inconsistent teams.  and yeah I'm talkin about the Jets too.  too young qbs. One is a Rookie and one is playing like a rookie. Oakland fans know their TEAM SUCKS the big one.  Don't tell me this crap about how Oak beat Philly.  that was a fluke at best.  As bad as this game may be to watch for many I'm assuming based on the turnovers that will be done in this game both teams combined have to be over 35.  I'm thinking a 20-25 type of game.  Jets are the better team, but how much better? 

JETS burned me good last week with the EAGLES. Will these teams rebound or is Sanchez now in rookie mode?

To tell you the truth, I'm in NO WAY a Raiders fan, BUT I think that they will win this game against the Jets to make it 2 weeks straight with 2 wins against 2 teams that wear green & white.
Everyone was in AWWWW with Mark Sanchez the first 3 weeks of the season (NOT ME!!). I had said, that he (Sanchez) is doing a good job, BUT in no way was I saying that he is the Jets savior. The last 3 games, Sanchez has been performing like a first year QB & more than likely he will continue to do just that. Even though, the Raiders are NOT a good football team, with the UPSET win against the Eagles last week, that might give them a little bit of momentum.
As for the Jets & Sanchez, they are on a 3 game losing streak & have to fly all the way to the west coast, not knowing what QB in Sanchez is going to show up.

Final score:  Oakland  20   NY Jets 14

raiders cover.....russell actually RAN for a first down last week....maybe he is tired of being looked at like the guy that fart in church!! over looks decent play....

after last week for both teams, i think oakland might have a shot with the cover.

the way i see it is that the jets lost 3 in a row.. this is a must win for the jets.. jets -7

Ugh.. what a crapfest of a game..  I like the Under here..  With the performance the jets put up last week of run v pass, you've gotta think they'll lean on the run more.... God knows which way Oakland is gonna go with this one..  I think Oakland might be deserving of a few more points towards the spread, but it's not inconceivable to think they wouldn't at least cover.  Sanchez is a rookie QB on the road... Unless your last name is Flacco or Ryan, usually those are bad bets these last few years.... With Run v Run going on, the clock will move...   

I agree... I think they will be really cautious with Sanchez this week.... lost of w/r and rb screens.... maybe a throw to the tight end but now way they are going to test that rediculous corner Oak has... this will be a game where the Jets will be playing clock management and running the football

on the other side of the ball I think the Jets D will contain big-bad JRussell and Co....

this is the black hole.... no offenses perform well when playing there and I don't see that changing with a Rookie qb on the road...

 

I like the Under but I may tease it just to be safe...

   Jets run away and cover, in what I see is a "mistake- filled affair"!  Oakland comes back to earth with a THUD!! A must win for Sanchez & company, chasing NE!

Haven't seen a spin move like that since LT in his prime... lol. If the Jets are smart they will pound it with Thomas Jones & Leon all day and win by 10+.  My only fear is that the pigeon comes back!!

Oakland stinks in every catergory. Jets will win but I'm not sure they cover.

first thing that came to mind when i see the game is the raiders will actually get 2 in a row.. Jets probably roll. no play here.

after studying this game i think this is the upset of the week. oakland wins streight up

Jets got this, not sure if they can cover though. I cant imagine sanchez throwing any more picks this week.  Dont like the fact that jenkins injured, he's like the heart of the defensive line.  The over for the game looks pretty good

Jets to cover here.  Their D is tough and Thomas Jones will have another stellar game.  This line is actually too low because of what happened to the Eagles last week so that people believe that maybe Oakland should be only a 7 point dog.  If the Eagles would have beat Oakland like the Giants did this would be a 10 point spread (which it should be).  Every bad team gets up for a game like Oakland did last week and now it is time to come back to earth.

plus have you looked at past meetings? the jets lost to the raiders a couple of times and never covered that big since the year 2000 i think.

correction they did in 2005 and 2006 but never yet to cover 7 points on the raiders when they play at home.

Im on Oakland. The last couple of weeks Sandhead has been looking like a deer in the headlights. Last season the Jets marched into Oakland as a trendy pick for the superbowl. With Favre and co. playing great they lost straight up as 3 pt. favs. That was a different coach and qb so I wouldnt read into too much, but I at least thought that the line would be smaller than 6.

Losing Jenkins has to be a huge blow for the Jets. Look at the Chargers without Jamal. And its not like they were that good at stopping the run anyways. So Bush/Mcfadden/Fargas whichever one it is should be able to put together a nice game. My main concern is can Russell but together back to back decent games. Everytime I see him he looks clueless. He has trouble reading a defense and finding an open reciever and when he does he missing them by 10 or 15 yds.

Oak... people in this forum are actually predicting a win? are you serious? we are talking about the Oakland Raiders winning 2 games in a row?

Oak went to Houston and got Murdered... went to the Meadowlands and got crucified... they beat KC, and the Eagles becuase McNabb thought there were 4 timesouts....

The JETS need this win... and Sanchez is going to play in Cali where it's nice and warm and that's just what he's used to.... I'm not expecting a big day but he's not throwing 4 or 5 picks... which means they will be in a very good chance to cover....

 

the only thing that scares me is the Jets ATS road record and the fact that Jericho Cotchery is not playing, he is a captain and veteran on the squad...

I forsee Russell throwing a td or two to the Defense....

21-6 JETS.... Defense steps it up without Jenkins in the middle.... this is a must win to stay competitive in the division....

last year was a typical example of a team looking passed there opponent, similiar to how Philly did last week...

Sanchez is going to be protecting the ball this week.....
