Don't expect a big afford out of NY, Manning may play a half and than Carr takes over. The defense has got to know Sheridan is a lame duck DC and won't be back next year, they won't risk injury for him and besides there's not much to play for. There are a group of players who won't be back come Sept and will be cleaning out their lockers come Monday morning.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

Could not be anymore wrong about the Giants intentions in this tilt, brother! The G -Men play for Coughlin, and not Sheridan. Why would you suspect the Giants to be resting players- they're not going anywhere soon! This is their SB. Besides, they've pretty much have "owned" the Vikes in recent years, especially against the number. After blowing the Chicago game, and an expected Philly victory, wave good bye to Favre and companies' playoff hopes!!

The Giants will play hard here.  This will be a close game.......The Vikes need to win and Philly lose to Dallas to get a bye.  The Giants getting that many here is insane!!!  The Vikes are not in prime shape right now and not playing well.  Giants will show up and give effort......might not win but should stay within 9!!

i just dont see the vikings turning it on all of a sudden.. yes i do think they will play better but i also think the giants will play better too.. i mean the giants cant play any worse then what they showed last week..  the giants definitly cover this and possibly can win this game.. in the end though i think itll be a high schoring game.. vikings win 36-31

Coach Brad Childress confirmed that the Vikings will not be resting their starters against the Giants Sunday.
"We're 100 miles an hour, win that football game. That (resting players) is a luxury," said Childress. "We're not even considering that." The Vikings must win at 1:00 ET to nail down a bye for the first round of the playoffs.  Dec. 31 - 4:18 pm et

NYG/MIN UNDER 47.5: Minnesota in the last 4 weeks, have scored 21 per game (17 or fewer twice). In the last game, the starters will most likely come out in the 4th qtr. The g-men, meanwhile, are 13-3 UNDER on the road when the total is 45 points. (4 units).

Giants will offer little defensive resistance.

Looking ahead, Game has way more importance for Minny.

Just hope Favre or AP does not get hurt or they're done! They maybe done anyway.

Earning a bye week is not grounds, and definetely NOT a "must win" scenario under any circumstances! If the G-Men lay down like dying dogs, and the Eagles @ 4 o'clock say we're not getting our uniforms dirty, so we'll let the Cowboys beat us for a 2nd game TY, and win the division from them, THEN the Vikings will be very motivated. With that being said- -----PLEEEEZE get real! There's an excellent chance of the Giants playing a hard fought ,close game, possibility being motivated the avenge a beating to Minny from LY. The G-men are very familar have played close, competitive contests the past several seasons, of which they've had the upper hand as far as the number is concerned. Once the pass rush, starts pressuring Favre, Childress would have to be a damn fool to risk his "franchise QB" to injury! I'm thrilled that many people are betting against me-- I sure could use their money!!

The Vikings D have been getting pounded by the media which will only add fuel to the fire seeing the importance of this game... Petersons` running game has been hampered due to Steve Hutchinson playing with an injury which he is still nursing. They will still run and chew up the clock either way..With the Giants in freefall and looking totally broken I see the reason for this line being so high but under that same premise the Giants will not score many points..Always risky looking for a low total between these two especially in Minny, but that`s why we play the game.
