..Pats needed trick plays to get past the Ravens who weren't that great this year...they had two close games with the Jets who we all know were terrible this year...and they had a tough game against the Raiders another low level team..

Michigan beat Ohio State last year... Jets and Patriots are divisional rivals. Jets were up, Patriots were ho hum.. The injury status of Seattle defenders is very important. Patriots, it was said, will go after them immediately to test their health. Without those defenders at 100 percent, that vaunted Seahawk defense is not so intimidating.

There's also talk of Seattle laying a physical beating on the Pats, but they're ALL NFL players, and I'm sure the Pats' players are going to show their muscle too.

Ravens had Flocco, the manager of a great passing game. Seattle has a very good quarterback, but the receivers are not as strong as last year's team.

The advantage appears to be with the Pats.

This board is hilarious, I must agree. The Strip Club analogy was a riot, as was the "someone will be living in a trailer by the side of the road after this game...

Just how good is that Seattle defense anyway? St.Louis, San Francisco and Arizona had terrible offensive performances this year. Throw in Carolina, Eagles (during bad stage of year), Washington and Oakland.

I'm not sold on this year's defense... View the STANDINGS section of Covers and review pts for and against.

I think Seattle is going to win.

Seattle has a better D and a better O slightly.  Nuff said right there.

NE is off task with the deflate gate nonsense.  Refs will be calling and checking on footballs, but PATS know better than to pull off.

Lets make money and take Seattle large.

NE's defense will slow Seattle but NE's offense is over matched, crossing patterns won't save them. Brady's not running anywhere and from the start he'll be watching that rush. Brady on the sidelines will tell the story.

This will be a blowout and dirt on Brady finally put to rest. Why is NE not favored? Las Vegas has seen this story before and won't take a bath because of Brady hype.
lmao...ur parents wanted a dog so they adopted your lil b#%ch a$$....listen,I cdnt care less about Brady OR anyone else in either of these 2 teams...wish they cd BOTH lose but thats not possible....but if ima lay $$ on this game ima take the pats, clearly the winner...& now they're @ + money?...hell yes...have fun watching the game @ da nail salon hunny..

If so much of the hype is saying Seahawks, then why is all the Consensus saying Pats? 60-40 Pats both public and expert going 60-40 Pats, so why is the Seagulls being slightly favored by the bookies? That dont make sense to me?

Throw all of that bull$hit out of the window.  About 365 days ago everyone was on Payton Manning nuts going into the SB. Russell Wilson and the hawks didn't have a chance in hell to win let alone beat the $hit out of the great Denver Broncos.

I don't really care if the under rated passing game and new look defense isn't exactly the same as last year. As long as Russell and Lynch are standing in the 4th qtr I still feel like the hawks will repeat. Everybody knows the hardest part is getting back to the SB after you played in it the previous year.

Denver didn't have a chance to make it back to the SB. Don't be fooled by how the hawks got back, forget about it. You don't think the hawks realize they took that game from GB. Hell GB fired their special team coach b/c of that melt down at the end of the game.

Richard Sherman will be a decoy today, don't worry about him. The Pats can test him if they want, but he got hurt last year in SB so I'm not really concerned if he's not 100%.

Brady can't cheat his way to a victory today and have home field advantage, neutral site with everything on the line. I seen him in KC this year and he doesn't play well with pressure in his face.  And the last time Brady lost on the road was at GB, otherwise they have beat everyone except for the Bills since losing in KC. The hawks on the other hand beat the $hit out of Arizona 35 to 6 in Arizona. Absolutely NO pressure on the hawks at all, they play free and loose, while Brady and company will be challenged just like Payton was last year.

Give me the Hawks - 1 and over 48... final score 30 to 26.

How do you measure the efficiency of a defense? Should the stats be weighted like stocks? Some things are obvious yes...if they give up fewer points than the rest of the teams, but shouldn't the offenses of their opponents be factored in?

What metrics are used to say one defense is better than another's? Analysts are saying the Pats D is second-rated, behind the Seahawks?

Richard Sherman, a Stanford grad, might have faked his arm injury at the end of last week's game to have everyone focus on his injury... Marketing...and.. creating "THE VEGAS EFFECT"

My two big questions: Can the Pats stop the Seahawks running game?

Do the Patriots have a running game? HELP!

Counting the playoffs, Wilson has fumbled 12 times this season, and either he or his teammates have recovered all 12 of those fumbles. Even if you think Wilson and the Seahawks happen to be particularly good at jumping on loose balls, no team recovers every fumble without a little luck. The bounce of an oblong ball just isn’t predictable enough for recovering fumbles to be a repeatable skill.

My Packers took their foot off the gas after exposing that so called unstoppable defense.  Seattle still has that great defense, but I don't see the Pats making the same mistake as the Packers.

    I'm going Pats -1

This game is gonna be tight IMO. You guys are over analyzing this game. You have the number 1 ranked defense and a top 10 offense playing a Patriots team who plays not only a very weak schedule, but also is not playing in the confines of their home field advantage. Being I live in New England and go to a few games every year to watch the Pats play I can tell you that they are NOT the same team on the road as they are at home.

With that said Seattle also has a slight advantage as the game is being played not only on the west coast but also in a stadium that they are very familiar playing in. And have had plenty of success their as well. Patriots do not travel well, and do not play good football when playing games on grass. I dont know exact stat but I think its something like 3-12 in their last 15 games on grass

NE is off task with the deflate gate nonsense.  Refs will be calling and checking on footballs, but PATS know better than to pull off.

Lets make money and take Seattle large.

Furthermore, pats also havent yet faced a stellar defense like seattle regardless of sherman being banged up. Seattle has a whole team of highly skilled position players that will shut down the pats offense. Brady is not a deep ball passer and seattle is gonna play tight in the box and hold down runnung game causing brady to throw ball and lead to what i believe is gonna be a few interceptions possibky for a few pts in the process.

Seattle will dominate the run game leading to open wideouts in short passing game something that the pats struggle against, we all witnessed what happened when pats played a similar team on road in KC and got blown out by double digits. When comparing these two teams pats are basically playing a better version of the cheifs who patriots always struggle against. But seattle has just as a good a dominating RB and a way more mobile QB in russell wilson who can open this game up. I believe final scored will be 24-20 seattle

Big play on under but the point if u can make it 48 thats a key number in nfl on over/unders BOL EVERYONE!!

    Seattle has #1 D and -#9 offense
They are the number #1 rushig team in nfl against a patriots team who struggles against heavy run game teams who can make the short plays underneath and eat up yardage.

Dont get confused about the game vs GB 2 weeks ago. Seattle played their worst game all year, and say what u want they won the game. Its called heart and destiny. At end of the day if u dont think they got the mojo going into this game u are very confused.

Also dont forget Pete Carrol was a previous head coach on the Pats prior to Bellichek. You dint think he is gonna be going out there with a chip on his shoulder and having something to prove? U are highly mistaken. Both these teams have excellent coaching on both sides of the ball. But player for player we are witnessing the new dynasty in the NFL, with young agressive hungry players that are looking to make history by being one of the select teams besides cowboys and pats etccc who have gone back to back winning the Big Game. I can promise this game wont be like last year blowout in which everyone was riding coattails on manning and the broncos who i think have a better team than the pats do this year and we all know what seattle did to those poor person that year in the superbowl. Dont make the same mistake take the seabirds for the win and put that money in the bank. Bol

I have to go with Pats here.Seems no one is talking about N.E. defense.they can cause turnovers as well as anybody.I would love to see Brady make Sherman look real bad. His  "U mad bro" tweet  was very unprofessional.

Finally, been waiting for the line to go towards NE, might wait a little more but at +1.5. I might just take NE now. New England are a team that plays together, you don't have that one guy who always wanting the ball cuz he's a superstar. Besides after 2 losses in the superbowl, the 3rd times a charm. With that said put me down on NE BIG!! and a small play on the under too but what do I know right!, good luck on any team you choose and see you next season.
