Detroit can put up points but just cant keep up with a team that lives off the run this will be another blow out for a miserable franchise

detroit might spread it out with some long possessions without a score. they are going to attack weakness in 2 new defensive linemen.

minn wins, but wait for the line to drop.

also think hard about the total, the minn secondary will stop the score, but there could be a lot of first downs

First, let's pre-emptively congratulate the Lions on becoming the first NFL team since the season went to 16 games to run the table in reverse!!!!!!! Secondly - Jared Allen is still in, and the league's leading rusher against the league's worst defense against the run??? Vikes don't even have to throw if they don't want to! This is a different looking Vikings than the 12-10 squeaker we saw the last time against the Lions. I see "All Day" doin' it "All Day". I'm goin' Minnesota in a "must-win".

Does anyone remember who Detroit played and what happened in 2001 when they were last 12-0?  Answer:  Minnesota and Detroit Won.  Does anyone remember how Minnesota won and by how much earlier this year (and I was one of the people shouting blowout also)?  Answer:  Last second field goal to win 12-10.
12-10?  Detroit knows that they need to stop AP thats obvious, the question is this.....Can Detroit do in the 2nd half what they have been doing well in the first have the last 5 games?  I don't think Detroit will win, but I think that the Detroit fans will actually have hope when the Lions have the ball down by 5 with 1:00 on the clock and a redzone INT ends the game and the fans go back to work griping about how bad the Lions are and that they were this close to winning again.     Hey Lions fans:  I heard their are some good QB's going into next years draft so cross your fingers.

I think points will be scored....either mostly by Minn. or in a shootout with the lions.....the judge blocked the suspensions of the defensive players.....

This is not a victory or final decision. As pointed out, the judge has just delayed the suspension at this point to hear more argument.

ESPN has a link to the court filing that lays out the grounds of the union on behalf of the 5 players:

    https://espn.go.com/media/pdf/081203/williams_suit3.pdf

That's the issue from the player union's perspective.

I'm sure the NFL's response in opposition argues the NFL did what it was supposed to do and the CBA prohibits this action.
So the suspension might be held off this week.

Detroit is the worst NFL team ever!! We have NEVER been this bad. Please do yourself a favor and bet against them(4-8ats) or bet the over. If you put your $$ on this team they will have you pulling out your hair by the end of the game!! Thank God it's blacked-out here so we can see a real team play.

    Some real idiocy here.

"who better to know the Vikings D than Culpepper" --- alot of people seeing as they've switch D coordinators twice since he was last on the team and it's not the same D now at all.

"Vikings suck and should have lost the lions the first time" --- using the word suck to describe a football team certainly is appropriate for one of the 2 teams here....

"oh and the Vikings pass D is HORRIBLE its ranked within the worst 3"

maybe if you go by yards, but they are top 8 in sacks, and middle of the pack in opponents QB rating and TD/PIC ratio, so we'll see how "horrible it is"

Vikings have plenty of bulletin board material on how the Lions think this is their best chance for a win, not to mention wanting to prove last game vs. them was a fluke.

Much better options on the board tomorrow fellas.  Don't waste your time or money on this lousy game.  Gun to my head I go with Minnesota, but for some reason I feel a late moose job coming in this game.

The best QB we had all year is Orlovsky, Culpepper blows(No one calls him but the Lions). This game will be over by halftime, just like most Lions games. We can't stop the run and all the Vikings do is run!! Last time we played Minny they were coming off a Monday night game and we had Orlovsky at QB!! Culpepper has been pulled in every game he has played here. Take the Vikes or the over, PLEASE don't put your $$ in the Lions hands!!
