If your selling something , you polish it up and ask for a certain price. Hence the buff jobs on Geno Smith and RG 3 . that is the only reason these two are given a football to control. Next year will find them on a different team ,but right now and tonite Smith is on display for better or worse . Miami still has a dog in the hunt and their guns are loaded for the lowly Jets . Don't know about the over/under but I'll take the Fish and the chalk for a win.

Im a Jets fan. Yes, it's agonizing to admit.
I am actually rooting for the dolphins so we can get a better draft pick than oakland and draft a qb that can actually throw a football like mariota or the headcase winiston. I really don't know why more teams don't intentionally bomb the 2nd half of the season when playoffs are impossible Ala indy colts andrew luck 15 year franchise star.... but I digress...
So im not betting, but I can drop some expertise on you as I know this rivalry well.
8 reasons why this is a dangerous bet tonight.
1) div road favorite laying 7.... always a very risky play plus these games are usually close. As awful as the jets are, is Miami really an elite team?
2 ) it's cold and rainy. Actually it's not that bad but it's colder than it is in Miami. And that ball can be slippery.
3) Jets are inducting wayne chrebet into the ring of honor. If there is a game the jets show up all year it's probably this game.
4)Geno had his highest passer rating of his career in relief of Vick last week. Yes, that's true as crazy as it sounds.
5) Miami lost to the Jets last year when all was lost on the season playing spoiler.... sound familiar?
6) this is Monday night football and usually the ball bounces strangely. Primetime games ballers ball and Harvin is still trying out for next year for other teams. Kind of a contract year motivation angle. Primetime games spark motivation.
7) Jets have actually played decent at hime. Beat Pitt, hung with Denver, Chicago, Detroit. Well Detroit is a bad example, especially with no megatron. Their last homegame they beat pitt. Before that they were slaughtered by buffalo.
8) Jets have 5th ranked rushing offense. Crazy I know but that could mean an "under" type game
Oh, and the public is on the dolphins at an unprecedented rate. So if you think vegas is giving away free money and will lose over 80% then by all means take Miami.... but something tells me it's not as easy as "jets git blown out by buffalo last week so a Miami cover it is!"..... this line skyrocketed.... I see it at 7 and could have swore I saw it at 4.5 last week.
Again, not playing tonight, just trying to give some perspective.
Usually these games go over but that's just from memory.

I've backed the Jets more than one occasion and my only reward? a nice little payout against the Steelers.. that's all?? Jets are a poisonous team so who knows what the outcome will be when it involves games with them. they might show up but... who knows?? won't be laying anything but I'd rather take a good defense in Miami on the road against Geno "pick-six" Smith and without Muhammad Wilkerson? Dolphins by 10 or 13.

I expect Jets to try to play strong D to stay in it since the O is scant. Primarily they will keep it on the ground to run clock and keep Miami's offense off the field. Jets will have a few FG opportunities and maybe reach the endzone once against a #4 pass defense. Not over thinking it...teased Miami and under. (Though buying Miami down under a TD is also solid).

Those are fun to lay a little on from time to time. Closer game than some would think but an upset not happening here tonight if the Dolphins take care of the ball. BOL

you guys drinking the jet coolaid cant be serious. The playing for Rexs job has left the building weeks ago. Geno if anything is a broken quarterback now that hes been benched and now reinstated as starter. It never works out. Bottom line Geno is NOT an NFL quarterback, hes in over his head. Yes the jets have some weapons on the outside but noone can get them the ball. Miami is playing for playoffs Jets have quit, just look at there effort last week, they should give there game checks back! And stop with the pitt/jet game already, pitt is overrated and was due for the bubble to bust that night, if i hear it again im gonna puke.(and i was on the jets that night btw). If you play the jets+7 you deserve to lose your money!

Ok people, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. A "benched Gino" is not gonna perform any better than the 7 losses he already had prior to his benching. This kid is not cut out for the NFL and should be working at McDonalds.
The QB situation is DIRE for the Jets and they should focus their 1st round pick next year on that position first and foremost. If not then they're gonna shoot themselves in the foot and be just as horrible next season as they are this season.
Originally I thought Vick was gonna inject some life into this offense, sadly I was wrong. Good thing I didn't bet any games with this team to learn the hard way.
The Fins are better than the Jets and proved they can hang with top tiered teams like the Broncos, Packers, Lions, and Patriots. I mean they nearly beat all 4! The only one they did win was against the Patriots.
The Jets proved that they can be really really bad so there's nothing there that gives me any confidence that they're gonna show anything special tonight. They almost beat the Patriots in NE and lost by a TD to the Packers and Lions. They surprised an up and down Steelers team but recently has lost pretty damn bad. Shut out by the Chargers and nearly by the Bills in recent games.
Looking at what to take, -7 is a lot but the UNDER looks pretty good. These 2 teams trend to go under more often that not in recent years, and that was when the Jets offense wasn't as bad as they are this year.
Don't put a lot of thought or money into this game. Put a small amount on it and enjoy watching football on a Monday night!
