tough to beat a team twice....

NO figured how to stop the wildcat... they were running corner blitz's and putting their safeties 1 on 1 against wide receivers daring Miami to throw the ball....

I think the blueprint is finally out... we'll see if the rest of the teams adapt to this scheme...

I think the JETS will.... and they Cover 3.5 in the UNDER....

the reason I say under is because both teams will run the ball frequently and try to control the clock... especially with their inexperience at qb....

the JETS are ranked number 1 in the NFL in rushing with 184.9 ypg..... the DOLPHINS are ranked number 2 in the NFL in rushing with 170.3..... 13

the JETS are ranked 29th in the NFL in passing, the Dolphins are ranked 26th

after a deflating loser game end  which won me 800  fins are on a mission there gonna win this one ,they got deadly defence to fuck up drew even for half a game these guys in miami      there not stupid they know what happened and there gonna eat sanchezes food big time and pound that rock i know jets run maybe better stat wise but miami best run defence , also the idiot jets get away from there bread and butter   sorry not good         fins go up by 10 early and keep runnin  when sanchez is under pressure bad things happen and jets will have to throw the ball              miami 24 jets 17   for real

What a demoralizing Sunday last week. Houstan blew a 21 pt. half time lead in a game which they were dominating. Than the backup qb, who should of been the starter, came in and looked like the second coming of Joe Montana.

If that wasn't bad enough the Vikings looked like a good pick until they had 2 to's for tds in the last 7 minutes.  

Two bad defeats which I would still complaining about all weekend if it weren't for the Dolphins Saints game. The most demoralizing defeat in Dolphin history. This thread isn't long enough for to post all of my feelings about that one.

Not to mention Monday night kicking me while m down? WTF? Ok the Redskins weren't my best pick of week, but come on. Why wouldn't they kick the fg? That fg would have given me the covmer.

IMHO I really don't think that there was anything to figure out with the wildcat offense. It's been out there with a lot of game film to look at it was just a matter of who had the better excecution in the match up the defense or offense? I remember the 1st series against the Jets this season a lot of people were saying that due to Rex Ryan stopping the wildcat twice with the Ravens he should be able to stop them for basically a 3rd time with the Jets....well we all know what the outcome of the 1st game against the Jets was this season.

Miami loss to the Saints for a number of reasons besides stopping the wildcat....dropped passes, poor clock management, turnovers, poor tackling and coverage by the defenders, etc, etc, etc...

Anyway.....injuries to Jenkins and Washington are key losses for the Jets especially in a big rival game such as this. Jenkins took up a lot of space in the gaps to slow down the rushing attack. While Leon provided a threat in the Jets rushing game and special teams.

Miami will be without our starting corner Will Allen for the rest of the season so that puts 2 rookie corners to defend Sanchez and company. Will Allen hasn't showed much this season but he did have experience. Rex Ryan will probably try to test the young DB's early.

Tough game to call...are my Dolphins going to have a Saints hangover? they better not

Now this Sunday the crappy Dolphins have to play the even crappier New York Jets. And yes the Jets really are that crappy.

They have a bottom 5 qb and one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. Without Jenkins they cannot stop the run. Oakland averaged 6.3 yds a carry against them. If Russell wasn't so incompetent we might of had a game.

Still take the Jets. This is a horrible spot for the Fins. That loss to the Saints is heartbreaking and the Jets are out for revenge after getting embarresed a few weeks ago in Miami.

I think the jet's are overated.I mean Smokeland made them look good on monday.I'm taking miami after that bad beat from NO

Hello fellow rival...... I knew I would see you on these threads again...

just a few quick points...

1) The stats that I dug up were really meant to point to an UNDER game, due to the fact both teams run the ball almost always in the NFL, and they both have inexperience QBs.... I wasn't trying to say that the JETS have a better running game than the Dolphins, becuase I don't believe that for a second.... also, JETS didn't have a bye so the numbers are slightly off...

2) Stopping the wildcat.... I was one of the main people who thought REX RYAN would design something up in his 3rd match-up agianst the WILDCAT... Last MIAMI-JETS thread I was the main one who said that would happen.... obviously I was completely wrong...

But I do believe the blueprint for stopping the wildcat was exploited last week... that's not why MIAMI lost... and they did play great defense in the first half.... but if you watch the video I am about to post, you will see what I mean...
