Just locked in Jax+13.5 for 3 units (1-5), and praying my local puts up a money line in this game, which I'll place 2 units on Jax, if given the opportunity. I see Jax hammering the ball down their throats, eating up clock, and playing very loose on both sides of the ball. Pats won't choke, they'll just plain get beat by a field goal, in a fairly low scoring physical affair.

Your avatar has mesmurized me and apparently launched you to Fantasyland.
I will hazard to say Jax will not even be competitive in this one. The Patriots are historically STRONG after a bye week and their 1st week in the playoffs. They usually blow everyone out in their week 1 playoff mathch-ups; no different this time.
Pats 30-10.

You'll be even more mesmerized on Saturday night, when your precious (over-rated) Pats lay an egg
Pats 31 Eagles 28 (pathetic, really)
Pats 27 Ravens 24 (pathetic, really)
Pats 38 Giants 35 (pathetic, again)
Not exactly what you would call a real powerhouse, as a matter of fact, trending the wrong way, in my opine. Yes, I know this isn't college, and a win is a win, but I can assure you, the Pats are a helluva alot more concerned about Jax, than the other way around. I really see them losing this game, and regardless, Indy is going to win the Super Bowl, when it's all said and done with.......again.

ok have not posted too much as of yet but I will speak on this one.... Pats blow the Jags out.....I hate to say it becuase Jags have made me a lot off money this year and they're a good team....but Saturday they will look like they have know bussiness on the field with the Pats.....Last four or five games the Pats played in was for the bookies (becuase of the people that jumped on the Pats ban waggin)...but if anyone who have enough heart to go with the Pats even -17 will win.....too much time for the coach and Brady to study..... also bet over...it will be over fifty points scored by the end of third quarter.....
Pats 45 Jags 24get money good luck all

Looks like everyone is taking the points....I would love to take them to...but you just can't give Brady & Belichick that much time to study any team.....Just hope they're not looking ahead to INDY and the bowl.... don't think they will make that mistake though...Pats big
Good luck all

See Jax covering 13.5 and the over. Both teams score alot.
Jax and over 49.5 Why can't Jax win straightout? NE played Miami, Jets and Buffalo twice. Beat San Diego, Dallas, Wash, Indy and Giants. San Diego, going nowhere, Wash out, Dallas sucks so New England has a tough game. Go Jax

Lefty- I like the over pick. Both teams can score, weather looks like it'll be clear and light winds to boot-
2 td's is too much to be giving a well balanced, well disciplined, smash mouth Jags team.
Med play on the over, and sm. play on Jags +14 (my man currently has 13.5- I'll buy the 1/2 pt if neccesary)- the only reason Im going small on Jags is the inexperience of Gerard. he tossed a cple picks last week, and- just like the seahawks last week, a pik 6 late (or 2) by the inexperienced qb could blow you out of the water despite bein on the "right side" of the game.
New poster- but long time follower of the threads. Hopefully I can provide some tiny-helpful perspectives.
Many thanks to you all. Choose wisely, and where you dont, may the pik-6's and the missed fg's be with you.

I'm thinking the under, and thinking I like it. I don't like to bet games that I think are going to go under, because your bet could be over in the first half. I'll probably do it anyway.

the jags are a good team, gotta give it up. but did they play their superbowl against the steelers. felt like it after the game. hope they can get their heads back into the game at hand.
the pats have homefield advantage and are 16-0 and have to win the superbowl or go down in history as a big dud. i know the pats are ready to play and it would be hard to bet against them under these circumstances.
13 might be a good line. I can see it going either way. still can't go against the PATS,
Going with the winning team Pats -13.5, pour it on

Pats are 2-6 ATS in the last half of the season after starting 8-0 SU and 8-0 ATS........the reason???? It's not because they a playing worse......it's because the book got killed in the first half of the year and has now added extra chalk to every Pats game to try to create a more balanced book and pad things to thier advantage........most people haven't even noticed........still blindly following the herd that is being led by the media to slaughter..........The spread in this game has already gone up 2 points.........the blind "cows" are banging the cover again..........even though, like I said before, the Pats are 2-6 ATS in the last 8 games!!!!! I'll take the points and........hey Hawkeye!!!! I'll be on the over also.........I know you will be!!! LOL Can it hit again???? It's been the best bet of the season for the last 10 games........the Jax Over

Irisheyez...you know I luv ya bro, but your anaylisis is getting way to deep. Bottom line is the Pats can't stop the run. The Jags might not win, but they will damn sure cover the 13 or 13.5. Hoping it goes to 14 or 15 too. I'd be careful with the O/U cause the Jags will run lots of time off the clock. Just a guess, but I think I'll be able to bet the Jags +14.5 just before kickoff and have a winner. Love the Boys -7.5 and Indy -8, but still have some searching to do on the GB game.....Good luck, my friend!

i've got no problem taking the favorites at all, especially my PATS(lately),but 13.5 is friggin nuts at this juncture in the season.JAX really doesn't have much of an offense, except that two headed monster in there backfield and the PATS o-line will keep TOMMY B off his ass,but you always got that friggin BACKDOOR COVER,with that many points.

I got a feeling that although the outcome of the game might be in hand as the fourth quarter starts...the cover or noncover is going to come down to the last couple minutes of the game....
If the pats are up by 20 points in the fourth they likely will not mind giving up a late TD to let their guys get a rest...that is if the pats can get up by 20 points....
The one thing about NE is, playoffs or not, they get everyone's best effort....I like NE to start strong...dwindle around the half...and have to fight their asses off to keep the lead late in the game....
I've crunched it down 10 times and keep coming up with the same number...so I'm just sticking with what got me here...

New England had nothing to play for the last few weeks of the season and you have to admit, it showed. I have a feeling this less than stellar performance will continue in the first quarter or two of this game. If Jacksonsville gets up early or at least keeps it close, it could be tough for NE to cover the spread.

I think Jax comes out and hits the Pats in the mouth. I think alot of teams have been intimidated by the Pats performance that they have been beaten before they got on the field. I feel Del Rio will have these guys ready to play and will play tough, hard ass football and not be intimidated. I'm not sure Jax can win outright but I think they cover. GL

Jacksonville seems like the type of team that should be able to cover 13.5 easily (sound running game, long drives, pressure D), But I still see a high scoring dog fight. With this Pats team I just don't know, they could win by 20. I'm going to take the over, drink heavily, and cheer for points.
I think I like the Giants, Chargers and the over in the Packers game too, but I don't have any good reasons as to why and would like to be talked out of it.
