But the Texans have only been blown out twice this year...once by the Giants and once by dallas back near the beginning of the year. If the Eagles do cover the 9, I'd like to think the Texans can keep it within 14. Big game for both sides....if the Bears can hang 30 on Philly, the Texans should be able to stick around in a shootout (IMO).

The Thursday night games are now 7-2 to the 'under' since the start of last season with the only two 'overs' hitting between Atlanta and Baltimore in Week 11 and Indianapolis/Jacksonville in Week 15 of 2009.

- Keep in mind that da Bears had short field position for most of the game set up by Hester returns and turn-overs... Martz called a great game...

To say that they scored 27 against the Jets D, keep in mind that they had a total of 7 points at the start of the 4th.

Dallas, NYG and Indy (none of which have a great D) all beat Houston by DD.

I live in Philly, weather is typical shitty and cold, but it aint exactly Green Bay either. People say cold can affect a southern team, but I dont think its bad enough here and now to affect professional athletes.

Eagles D aint like the defenses of the past except in two regards- not so great at stopping the run, and very inconsistent. Show up nasty one day, then get ran over, get all these turnovers, but then get torched at any given time.

For all of Vick's flashy shit, and it is all pretty cool, that Washington game was a fluke, and it happens sometimes. How about when the Eagles had crazy red zone offensive opportunities that that blow? Coulda cost em that Indy game for sure, and last week at Chicago was a prime example. Settle for field goals, and then throw the pick that changes the game at the end of the first half.

With all that being said, stupid bipolar Eagles could crush Houston, but my thought would be that it will either be close all night, or that Houston will make it close in the second half, Eagles D will let em move at some point, they dont have 60 minutes in em in my opinion.

I THINK PHI WILL SHOW A LITTLE MORE DEFENSE THAN PEOPLE ARE EXCPECTING, PLUS THE TURNOVER DIFFERENTIAL. WOULDNT BE SURPRISED TO SEE PHI MAKE HOUSTON TURN IT OVER A COUPLE TIMES.
