What he fails to consider is that Green Bay is rolling over everyone, and this is the league of heavy intangibles and ever-present parity. That, with a little vengeance without redress. Admittedly, the Packers have won the last three in this matchup. Still, Detroit always seems to pull some magic on Thanksgiving. Label it a game in which Green Bay will "look ahead", yet it's more a matter of teams just don't go on rolls when most everyone is guessing just why they've lost only one game, and questioning the true level of talent (no-name receivers, as well as new RB Grant). ESPN also reveals tonight what the true cause of how all cylinders are running so smoothly. That train is derailed here.
Jon Kitna (I'll note again) can mess up a cup of coffee. He'll contribute his staple of three turnovers. However, the Packer DBs won't stack up. There'll be no running game on either side (Grant is banged up). IF it's left to strictly aerial assault, I would still take the Lions here. Favre is due for a sorry game.
This will be the snore and bore of the day. The Lions will win outright. Very strange that there isn't yet a true moneyline release here.
My 'Steet cred' is not near established. Crawling toward that just now.
Good luck everyone.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Harrington is back in, and Colts are due to cover a heavy line.
Jets have their long-awaited win out of the way, and it's high-time Dallas covers a double-digit spread as well.
This is the sole dog o' the day - Detroit Lions
Man you truly are delirious aren't you? I am by no way a professional handicapper nor would I ever choose to be one. I've used a few different ones this year. Wanna know how they did for me? 0-4 or worse! I don't even wanna think about that SHYIET! Trust me, if anything I'd recommend doing it your damn self as long as you put a little research into it and being consistent, you'll probably come out with some nice cash at the end of the year.
I used a couple of BIG name handicappers such as Wayne Root, Bob Akmen and one other guy I've never heard of before. His name is Stu Rosenthal or some shyt like that and his number is 702-541-4677. They give some bullshyt guarantee that they'll go 8 out of 10 or you will get the next 10 picks free. That prick told me to pick Atlanta against the Giants, even though I posted here on Covers.com that the Giants would cover the spread and I'd only go against them if a handicapper said so. I lost HUGE on that fricken game! Should've stuck with what I picked originally.
It's funny how people say so & so "is due for a let down this week". It's full of shiet and most of the time it doesn't pay out. I hear that crap every week at least once at games I check out.
So you gonna tell me that New England is due for a letdown this week at home against the Eagles as a 22 point favorite? Maybe you'll say next that the Eagles will outright cover that one. I feel sorry for the Eagles next week as they'll be getting spanked all over the field and may not score, even with McNabb in.
Lets look at the facts here:
1. Green Bay 9-1 SU, 8-1-1 ATS.
2. Green Bay has won IN Kansas City and in Denver, two supposedly hard places to win in.
3. Green Bay actually throws for much more yards on the ROAD!
4. Detroit actually gives up more yards at HOME!
5. Favre has thrown for almost twice as much TDs as INTs.
6. Kitna has thrown almost as many INTs as TDs.
7. Detroit gives up the most sacks in the league.
True, as the name of the movie states, "Any Given Sunday". But you have to factor in that when one team is truly better than the other in almost every aspect, you have to give a little edge to them.
Also, in case you didn't realize it, Green Bay did let down once this year, it was unfortunately at home to Chicago. Did that slow them down any? Absolutely not. What makes you think that Detroit will be the next team to beat Green Bay? As for next week I can't say yet but Detroit is no where near the caliber of Dallas. Also playing in the spotlight where Favre has been in so many times, he's just at home.
If you're gonna go against the Packers this week, you might as well go against New England and Kansas in CFB this week. Then shoot yourself in the face afterwards for being such a dumb f@cktard.
